I have been diagnosed with Colorectal cancer and I am scheduled
for a
permanent colostomy next Friday, May 15th. I'm sure you've heard this a
lot here in this group but - "I am scared!" I am 39 years old and I am
trying to come to grips with the fact that my body will be changed
forever and that this is being done to save my life. I have been to
mutiple doctors and they have all coe to the same conclusion. I am
going to what I feel is the best Dr to do the surgery (Sloan Kettering)
and I am jsut looking for some info, feedback and questions I should ask
when I see the Doctor and Ostomy Nurse next Tuesday.
Thanks,
Serv
