Hello Gloria,
Your husband's amazing to be still working with what-all's been going on, and
SOB as well..
There was a recent news item that people overseas are filling spaces in clinical
trials, rather than get nothing. (no insurance, money, I guess) since (many)
North Americans would rather not take a chance on getting a placebo. That I
understand.
An acquaintance of ours was diagnosed with advanced primary liver cancer in
November and had been told median 2 - 4 months. He had a major downslide shortly
after Christmas and's since been hospitalized. According to NCI, advanced
liver cancer is cancer that is present in both lobes of the liver or has
metastasized to distant sites.
"AFP levels have been shown to be prognostically important, with the median
survival of AFP-negative patients significantly longer than that of AFP-positive
patients."

I'm still wondering what you meant by "lathery binaurally cirrhosis" = lateral
biliary cirrhosis?
There's 2 paragraphs there that you might want to review with the surgeon - to
ensure double-check / all systems go..
Are the seeds coming from Canada? I was just reading that the backlog will be
cleared up in the next few weeks.
Thanks for the update and well wishes going your way from me for the CT scan,
husband's breathing and your mother's procedure. And please take care of you as
well. I'll be here; thinking of you all and awaiting updates, as you are able
and have time..
Best

My spelling sucks, you have it right. Yes pellets coming from Canada. They
done a pet scan a couple of weeks ago on Mom and never said anything about
any spreading. I guess it would of shown up, it did on my husband.
Supposedly her cancer is early on the liver not actually in it. Not sure how
they can tell but that is what was said. I guess time will tell. The Dr.
said at the begging that the normal would be 6 months but with the pellets
he feels it will increase it by 2-3 times that with a better quality of
life. She is willing to try it so we wait and see. Thanks for being here for
everybody J it is appreciated by most of us here.

Thank you, Gloria.
I guess I'm just a worrier, especially about the elderly.
They're the experts, so we'll hope they're right about the 2-3 times longer (or
even more).
Best,
J
Very reassuring, Gloria. Good idea to check things out ahead of time.
Rest well. You've done good.
I look forward to hearing how things go.
