remain @ <.1 The Dr wants me to remain on the Lupron for 18 months (2
more shots) and then go to intermittent therapy. He said the Lupron
destroys 85% of the cancers cells & 15% remain hidden. My PSA will most
likely start creeping up after a while when off treatment.

I recommend that you ask the doc about adding Avodart to the Lupron.
I'll post a separate message about it.

Thanks, Alan. I will print out & send info to Dr & his 2 PA's. Maybe
one of them will read it. Wonder if it is covered by Medicare ? :)

Essentially, there are seven types of PCa cells. Three or four are faster
growing and the others are slower. Those that are slower are hormone
resistant. So, when you go on ADT, the cells that are not resistant are
starved quickly. But those that are resistant are not. Eventually, the
slower growing cells produce sufficient PSA to be seen.
