I have a baby who bfs around the clock... I'm desperate for a sewing pattern
for a baby sling. Can anyone help?

I can't help with a pattern, but I can find a couple links where you can buy
a sling online. If you are interested, email me! Also, try posting this at
Breastfeeding.com's debates and discussions forum, they may be able to find
one for you.

I did a search on deja because I know this has come up before. I came
up with the following:

http://www.sewbaby.com
http://www.ida.net/users/stace/sling.html
http://www.themestream.com/articles/72418.htm
http://www.motherofeden.com/slinginstuc.html

Hope this helps!

I think another poster included the following web site already:
http://www.ida.net/users/stace/sling.html. I just wanted to mention that I
tried the other night to make a quick prototype of a pouch-type sling
following the instructions at that site, and found it to be pretty simple. The
pattern produces a pouch very much like the Maya pouch that you can buy online.
I purchased a Maya pouch for my next child, due in 3 months, but wanted to sew
a couple of others in some other fabrics/sizes. Hope one or more of the sites
mentioned helps out. Let us know if you find something that you would
recommend!

Elizabeth Lee Designs has a sling pattern. www.elizabethlee.com I used the
pattern to make a sling without the padding and it worked well.

Amazing the difference a known name will make in a post. I saw this and
nearly skipped it. But then I saw Anne P. Mitchell in the header and
figured it wasn't spam.

This has nothing to do with breastfeeding... just a remark...

a sling is really easy - you don't need a pattern. get about 6ft of cloth
and 2 really durable rings (make sure they're solid, no break). hem one end
of the cloth. at the other end, slip the rings on, fold the cloth over about
8-10 inches, sew shut (make sure rings are sewn into the loop!). voila - a
sling.
