There's too much and a lot of it is difficult to know what the question
means and what sort of answer is expected.

Wow only me and neral have done this one so far! Are you planning to
correlate this info and do my answers give anything away about me? I
sometimes think I may be a little ASD myself, I have a lot in common with
ppl with ASD and I'm kinda odd at times. Do my answers show any autistic
tendencies do you think? I think the mirror and camera phobias are more to
do with poor body image and lack of confidence but I do funny things
sometimes for no reason than I felt like it, touching each of my fingers
with my thumb the same amount of times, I still do the cracks in the
pavement game but with a twist, each foot has to touch the same amount of
the same coloured paving slabs. I can only relax on paths that don't have
them!
Well I will pat myself on the back and well done to neral for doing the
survey too, it was quite hard work and I had to think until my brain hurt a
bit but I think that if someone is interested, I'll tell you about me!

If you mean to quantify every bit of information about people, why
identify them so thoroughly? Professional surveys would never identify
individuals they'd asked such personal information about.

It where two difficult forms, this one and the code of Joel (austistic
spectrum code), and I'm not sure I filled in the Y/N questions right.
Maybe the Yesses had to be no's and vice versa, I'm not sure.
But this forms are only for fun, no stress there. If I have to fill in
official forms for the governement or for something else important, I
have definitively stress.

I'm no doctor, this is just a survey I thought up in a short time. I think I
could correlate it and publish findings for fun ...but it has to be seen
as just that. What I'm not interested in is stereotypical responses but my
questions may have been unintentionally leading questions.
Thanks for taking the time to explore yourself and participate with me on
this. You did really well. :> I'll look it over and come up with
some comments on any patterns I see.

Not meant to be professional. Just a means to help me understand people.

Perhaps one of your main advantages is in your lack of understanding of
people. What if you come to understand people and find yourself grossly
disappointed?

Seven because it is not eight, my favorite number

In conversation recently about the number seven and its instances (dwarves,
stars, sins, sisters, brides and brothers, samurai, etc I came up with the
seven pillars of wisdom by TE Lawrence (required reading in my family)

I wondered why it were seven and then without thinking realised I had given
the anser Lamed Resh Nun Tzaddi, though Lawrence were an arabicist and not a
hebraicist the traditions that lead to the number are the same.

So far, I already am....but, I still want to learn for the sake of learning
about them at this moment.
AS people don't disappoint me btw...I find it's like being an alien
abandoned on a failed
space mission to earth and then 30 yrs later, finding fellow aliens trying
to get to the mother planet.
Of course, I'm still in a state of disbelief and want to do a quick analysis
of these aliens all the while
being analyzed myself. Just as long as the men in black(or men in white, or
multicolored clown suits)
don't find me first, I'm safe.

Nothing on the traditions on my website I am afraid.

The system comes from the Kabala. In a similar fashion to the way that roman
numbers were letters, the letters of the Hebrew alphabet are also numbers,
Strictly speaking my name is written Tszaddi Nun Resh Lamed because the
alphabet is written backwards, and does not have consonants. Transliterated
it is LRN(TZ) hence Laurence and the numbers are added and the sum added
until you get one single number. The numbers then have a significance like
Astrological signs.

There is Chinese numerology as well.

You might be interested in this (or you might not). It is one of my
perseverations.

The Hebrew and Greek alphabets are designed (by man or by the Creator)
on sequences of 7 (and other numbers). There are other curious patterns
to be found: the five finals of the Hebrew alphabet (kaph, mem, nun, pe
and tsade) seem to tell the story of the deluge - not that of Noah, nor
Utnapishtim, but that of the Hindu sage, Manu, saved by the Fish avatar
of the preserver god, Vishnu (the 'Navigator').

The central letter of these 5 finals is 'nun' (fish), the letter of
Jesus.

The Greek alphabet has five different corresponding letters (upsilon,
phi, chi, psi and omega).

The central letter of these 5 corresponding Greek letters is 'chi' (X),
the letter of Christ. The centricity of this letter is strongly marked
by the apparent paired relationships of the remaining 4 letters, not
just in their sounds but in their written forms.

Even the Roman alphabet is not immune from these seductive patterns.
The seven Roman numerals, MDCLXVI, are arranged *almost* symmetrically
within the 23-letter alphabet; only L (=50, the central numeral) is out
of place. Fortuitously, there exists an early form of the letter 'P'
which is identical in form to an 'L' rotated by 180 degrees (and to
approximate its form, I shall use the ubiquitous number '7'). If this
'7' (i.e. 'P') is substituted for 'L', the seven Roman numerals are
indeed distributed symmetrically throughout the Roman alphabet:

AB [CD] EFGH [I] KL [M] NO [7] QRST [VX] YZ

Even more curiously, the Hebrew final letter 'nun' is central to the
five finals (as is the Greek equivalent 'chi'). The Hebrew
initial/medial 'nun' is the 14th letter of the 27-character Hebrew
alphabet (22 letters plus 5 final forms, used for the 3 flights of
numbers, 1-9, 10-90 and 100-900) and so is central to the (extended)
alphabet - as is the Greek 'nu'. Both 'nun' and 'nu' have the value 50
- and this is also the value of the letter 'P' (as '7', substituted for
'L'), the *central* numeral of the seven Roman letters used for
numerals.

'Nun' ('nu') means 'fish'; 'P' ('7') may stand for 'piscis' (fish).

The element with the Atomic Number 50 is tin. It is the element, or
metal, associated with Jupiter and Thursday, the day on which fishes
were created. In the heptad of heavenly bodies, Jupiter is not central;
nor in that of the days, is Thursday central: tin is the central
element in the heptad of metals.

I can write, communicate with dogs/horses/cats, read (with full visuals in

and memorize things automatically.
I have to think to drive, walk, navigate, understand human speech, speak,
and organize.

> What bothers NT's but doesn't bother you:
People that don't act the way their gender dictates they "ought" to
(assertive women, sensitive men) seem to freak NTs out, but I am far more
comfortable with that. It also appears to upset NTs when someone likes
animals more than humans, or stands up for the rights of the weak (NT or
not) but that doesn't bug me at all.

> What activities/subjects are ones you just can't seem to master?

Drawing, driving, any sport that requires I run or throw things,
understanding the spoken form of foreign languages.

oh c'mon...

you know what it is...

Yep you guessed. Animals great and small, slimey, furry or scaled, with bones

I'm not sure what you're asking.

Endoskeletal means the skeleton is on the inside, which
means bones. Exoskeletal means the "skeleton" is on the
outside, meaning a shell (turtles have shells but they are
still endoskeletal and have bones). Of course, there are
animals with no skeleton at all, such as slugs and worms.
But what does your question have to do with Chris's statement?

I know what endosletal and exoskeletal mean. Exoskeletal animals are
mostly within bones; endoskeletal animals are mostly without bones.

O.K. maybe I wouldn't use the word great for humans, but other than that I

So am I. I once froze halfway up the loft-ladder when I came face to
face with a spider. I don't know how many minutes I stayed like that
but eventually I realised that it was just a spider skeleton. I was
really sweaty and shaky for ages after, though.

Luckily, my wife doesn't mind spiders. She's afraid of small
footbridges, especially over water. Even over streams that are narrow
enough to jump across and shallow enough to wade across.

Didn't a study once show that baby monkeys (or was it baby chimps?)
appeared to be hard-wired to fear snakes?

These people behave too normal to recognise them as autistic, but they

That makes sence to me, the existance of a group of people that are
somewhere between Aspergers and NT's. I know a girl who seems to have
some autistic behaviour, but she goes to party's and her profession is
teaching. She heard about my autism and asked me information about it.
She thought that she was also autistic, but after a while she changed

I just found an online version at http://play.games.com (along with a bunch

Well, Bradley-wadley, my iLamp is just wonderful. I have had it running
24/7 since it was delivered, and haven't had a single system
freeze/crash. In fact the only problems I have had are with the new
version of MS Office for OS X. Amazingly, it crashes for no apparent
reason, just like its Windows cousins.

I really like the LCD screen. Yay, no flicker or hum. Now if I could
just do something about the rotten Win2000 system I have to use at
work......

I had heard that they were having a wee bit of a supply shortage. Mine
was in the first batch shipped, so I wasn't affected.

As opposed to crashing for a reason? Like taking a corner

Perhaps if you take your iLamp in, your bosses will like it
so much they'll get some </wishful thinking>. You could even
load SoftWindows onto it to fool 'em.

My work "upgraded" from Win98 to Win2000. Wasn't much of an
upgrade (they don't crash as much, but they crash much harder).

quite useful. Long useful life is yet another nice thing
about Macs. (I have some old PC's I'm going to try Unix or
Linux on one of these days.)

Well, I've crashed Macromedia Director quite a few times, and I can
usually tell when it's going to crash. It has some memory leaks (so do
I, come to think of it), and if I don't take that into account, I can
have some nasty results.

On the other hand, Office will just suddenly decide to shut down, often
in the process of saving a file.

My boss would be all for it. He hates Windows, but unfortunately the
materials we develop are for the distance education students, who are
mostly Windows users. The executive decision was made, in fact, not to
support Mac OS any more, because of the difficulty with testing
everything on all anticipated configurations of both platforms.

I might be able, eventually, to justify a flat screen display. One of
the supervisors has one, so there's hope.

For now, I try to do as much of my work from home as possible.

I've noticed.

I still have my old PowerPC, which I bought about five (maybe more?)
years ago. It was still working fine, except that it was dreadfully slow
and couldn't run some of the newer software. On the other hand, the old
e-machines computer that Phillip just replaced (about 3 years old) had
been slowly failing. He got everything (he thinks) copied over to the
new computer, and now the old one won't boot up at all. Somehow, we
don't see the need to spend anything to repair it before getting rid of
it. Josh will get my old Mac when he is a little older. In the meantime,
he uses his dad's computer.

By definition. Probably from the Greek _edrakon_ , aorist of

There used to be a Royal official (still may be), called the King's /
Queen's Rememberancer, who did that job for them.

And those who could afford had PAs, they just weren't digital.

Yep, it was intentional -- I like giving amusing nicknames to things. I
think it started when I was frustrated with programs crashing in Windows 95,
since regardless of what I used, something seemed to go wrong. Renaming
everything for fun seemed to be the best way to express my irritation.

I wonder more why it is that some disorganized/hectic people *without* PDAs
refuse to touch them even when it's blatantly obvious that one would help.
(Let alone why they sneer at me for "being reliant" considering that without
it, I was forgetting things constantly!)

I think the cost of a good PDA is easily offset by how many ways it can get
top-quality information we'd otherwise have to pay through the nose for -- or
couldn't obtain at all. (The ePocrates drug reference alone has saved my
hiney more than once from prescription errors now, and I'm pretty sure that I
couldn't afford to get the printed version, let alone a daily-updated one!)

Because for some disorganised people a PDA wouldn't help. There's a
certain degree of organisation required to actually use a PDA, to put
the things you need, dates etc. in it and to then look at it. I know a
PDA wouldn't help me.

Scarier thought: there's a whole fetish industry based on people bloating
multiple times their original size using saline catheterization... (I
unfortunately discovered this while playing "who can find the most revolting
thing on the Web" a couple of years back with some online pals.)

They do too!! I saw one that big on Gilligan's Island!

I worked with a guy who was bitten by a Brown Recluse when
he was about 12. I knew him when he was about in his 50's,
and his scar was quite apparent. His mother was a nurse,
too, and she lanced and drained it almost immediately after
he was bitten, but it was still very bad.

I like spiders, and fortunately, they seem to like me, too.
So far.

Spiders are very amazing. Each leg has 7 joints. I've had one spider bite that
was pretty bad. I have seen what the brown recluse bit can do to you. It is
ugly. There population around here is increasing a bit. My spiders like spiders
too, they are fun to kill, dismember and sometimes eat.

I was bitten by a brown recluse about 15 years ago, and the scar is
still quite visible, especially considering the fact that I don't scar
easily at all. (Example: very little scarring left 17 years after a
third degree burn which required debridement.)

I can say that the bite was a very unpleasant experience. I didn't feel
the actual bite, but the aftermath was quite memorable.

7?? I never noticed that they had so many joints.

I just looked at the one on the wall next to me but the
joints are too small for me to see, except for 3 or 4. Are
some of them near the tip ("foot")?

spiders? What kind of spiders do you have?
