Biofeedback should refer to peripheral biofeedback -- skin temperature, heart
rate, breathing rate, skin conductance -- "peripheral" as opposed to acting
upon the central nervous system. Peripheral biofeedback is commonly used to
induce relaxation and remediate stress or anxiety.

Unfortunately some people use the term biofeedback to refer to neurofeedback.
Neurofeedback (aka EEG biofeedback or brainwave feedback) refers to feedback
of the EEG signal, usually in the middle to higher frequency ranges (4-18
