Hi, Carina... I know it's tempting, but if I were you, I wouldn't take a chance
on NEW shoes of any kind for a trip like that! Afraid I don't know where to
get the Volks Walkers... would tell you if I did. Did you try a search on the
internet? Might be some main office that you can ask where a local dealer in
your area is.
Have a great time, and sit and rest whenever possible. That's what always
helps me.
Best regards,
LadyAndy2

Lady Andy,
I did try searching the internet - no luck! But you have a really good point in
that I probably shouldn't try a new pair of shoes out on a long day at
Disneyland. Maybe instead I should sit when my feet hurt. My denial and search
for a miracle cure still hits me every once in a while, but I think I've
snapped out of it just in time :)
Thanks for the post!
Take Care,
Carina
Char,
Thanks!! I think I still need to be reminded once in a while!

Judith
Hi Judith,
There are sandals (I think something like Birkenstocks). I gave up looking and
bought the Birkenstocks instead! Thanks to everyone who answered my post! BTW,
Disneyland was fun - but it's two days later and my feet still hurt!! Thank God
my daughter is only 3 and for now, and she gets tired pretty quick too!
Carina
Glad you had fun at Disneyland! And how do you like the Birkenstocks? I'm
looking for something dressier than my Tevas...
Judith
I love my Birkenstocks, Judith, but I don't know about the dressy part. The
ones I have are sandals. I have seen a catalog of their "whole" shoe (and
sandal) styles and have been contemplating trying a full shoe for the fall
and winter this year. Even with the full shoe look though it appears more
like a clog than "dressy" shoe.
Course the lady who gave me the idea to try Birkenstocks also if full of
wonderful fashion advice - our own Carol Down (I really love her ideas) :)
Toni
when i checked out their website a while back, i noticed that you could buy
just the insoles to be put into other shoes. anyone tried that? (i'm thinking
you could find a pair of dressy-but-wide shoes and put the cork in them <g>).
Shelley
Heck -- I've been known to wear my Tevas with a suit. (And coordinating hose,
of course. ) It was that or not go to work. So for me, Birkenstocks would be
positively dressy!
Judith
Judith,
Well, I've only worn them twice and they definitely seem more comfortable than
my other shoes. It's all relative for me though, cause my feet always hurt!! I
personally don't think they're very attractive (no offense anyone!) but at this
point - I don't care anymore!!
Take care,
Carina
Lately I'm wearing my Ecco lace up shoes every day. They're great when my feet
are all swollen up... can actually fit in them even with thick socks on. The
white ones are close enough to tennis shoes to be able to pass... kind of look
like boxer's shoes (only not high tops... my fat ankles don't like those).
