We got the phone call from my PCP's office yesterday that there was nothing
to worry about on the chest CT. I wasn't home and it was the office person
speaking to Mike so I don't have the details. Mike said there's some name
for it but he doesn't recall and she didn't know what it meant except that
all is ok! Naturally the office is now closed until Monday by which time
we'll be in Floirda. I figure I'll pick up a copy of the report at the
hospital today so i can look up whatever that mystery term is!
I wasn't home for the call because I was at my second appt. with my new RD.
He injected the thumb joint that was making me most nuts and I'm happy to say
it is already better today. Of course I'm noticing the other thumb joints
more now but we all know how that goes! He has a new little ultrasound
machine he uses to make sure the injection goes into the right spot. It was
cool but it did take longer than previous injections have - possibly because
he's not used it that much yet. I was quite impressed with how he and his
medical assistant worked together. I figure it's a positive sign when the
doc and his staff show real respect for each other!
And he was pleased to hear my PCP had already followed up on the chest Xray
report - both pleased they were on top of it so quickly and pleased they'd
taken that aspect of the follow-up out of his hands. (He's the only RD now
for a large area and so is VERY busy.) For some reason the radiologist said
there were no erosions in my thumbs despite one that he says "leaps out at
you". He showed it to me and it is significant.
And my labwork showed a continuing to decrease hemoglobin - down to 10.6 now.
Hopefully it's all related to the Crohn's. There's been no noticable blood
loss but it wouldn't necessarily be visible. All the docs are hopiing
improvement on Humira will lead to a recovering hgb.
So for now the word from all docs is to keep up what we're doing now and see
what happens!

and woo hoo! back atcha! Good news all around, though it would be nice if
that cyst would just go away so you wouldn't have to worry about it any
longer.
What they were double-checking on me turns out to be an enlarged area in the
left pulmonary artery, but the report attributes it to 90 degree bend in the
artery and it appears to be normal artery. I do wonder why this has never
ben questioned before, but I'm not gonna fret about it!
Didn't manage to work out though, came home and napped for 3 hours instead.
Glad to hear all lab reports, so far, are good.

Hey Nann,
I just love trying to fit in doctors over the Christmas-New Year's holidays.
One is closed this week and most of them, probably all, are closed on at
least this coming Friday.
