This is the same site that published my poetry.
The August 9 entry on that page has a link to my gallery. I'm kinda
jazzed :-)
I hope you enjoy them.

wow ... great stuff, Deirdre ! "Dusk" and "Acid Sunrise" are two faves for
me ...
Susan
Wow, those are really neat! I especially like the Bad Hair Day
painting, because it looks like Andy Warhol with a D disposition. :-)
Congratulations!

I use a program called ArtRage -- I have the free version of the
original program. I checked their website and they have a new
version, and the professional one only costs $20 so I may get that one
of these days.
You select a tool -- brush, crayon, pastel, pencil, watercolor pen...
and a color... and a texture of the "paper" or "canvas", and just
start. There's an eraser, too. I like using blobs of colors and
blending with the palette knife tool.
I've done a few things using an actual photograph, and messing with it
<lol> -- there's also a tracing function for drawing a photo that's
"under" the "tracing layer". It's a lot of fun. I'll tell you this --
on the ArtRage site there are some AMAZING pieces done by other users.
I'm just a doodler. Check it out.

Thanks, Mr P

Deirdre, I checked out the site, but I was on the phone and couldn't respond
to it. I think this is wonderful for you! Congratulations and continue the
good work! (P.S. do you work in oils or acrylics?)

Neither <lol> -- these are digital drawings, using a program called
"ArtRage". No brushes to clean!

LOL Thanks, Laurie! Truth be told, I'm am in fact "wicked thrilled."
click "explore flickr"
find the search box -- type in it:
Deirdre1952
then click the arrow next to the word "search" and click on "Flickr
Members"
There I am. Click the link under my name for "photos".
All my photos will come up. To the right is a 'set' labeled
"Comparisons" -- click that.
On the new page, on the right, click on "view as slideshow". This will
give you the best comparison of the two images. All I used was the
palette knife tool which sculpted the pixels on the original photo.
See? Anybody can do this!
Enjoy -- Deirdre
You know which ones I love best. You are amazing.
Love you,
S
I like "Acid Sunrise" and "_____(something) of Hope" the best. Sorry I
already forgot the second one's name! LOL.... *whistles* -- here, brain,
where are you, little brain.

Thank you so much, Anne! I'm not altogether sure it's art, but it's
something fun anyway.
Deirdre
PS -- "Brief Moment of Hope" -- that's for your brain, which is not so
little.
Thank you so much, Vanessa!
