I took trazodone for restless leg syndrome. I took Klonopin at the same
time. I didn't find a problem with it.

You have to get the dose up to a theraputic level to block panic attacks.
Until you reach a theraputic daily dose, you may notice that panic attacks
are only blunted: they start up, but don't reach full intensity before
they start to subside.

Dawn, I suspect you didn't change to an equivalent dose of Klonopin. Or that
you were not told to take a Xanax if you had any breakthrough anxiety.

I had no problem switching from Xanax 10 mg/day to Klonopin 5 mg/day. They
felt identical. My transition was very smooth, and I required no extra Xanax
for breakthrough anxiety.

Klonopin can be taken once or twice daily because it's long acting. I had to
take Xanax (which is short acting) four times per day and still had
anxiety/withdrawal when I woke up in the morning. Also, Xanax is faster
acting, thus better for prn (as needed) use.

yes.

The relative potency is about 2 to1, so 4 mg of Xanax is roughly equivalent
to 2 mg of Klonopin (which I obtain in generic form)

If you were to switch from Xanax-XR to K, you could take immediate release
Xanax for any breakthrough anxiety.

It's probably best to take K twice daily since that tends to give more
stable blood levels than once daily.

I've read it too many times. All the benzos can cause depression.

I don't know whether Klonopin causes it more often than other benzos, even
though this is the claim which one often reads.

And people with anxiety tend to have alot of depression. So it would be hard
to discern whether a depression is secondary to anxiety, a depressive
disorder, or to the Klonopin.

Benzos rarely affect weight, and shouldn't interfer with eyesight.

The only personality I"m aware of is a very pleasant one :)
