Peacefully, He remained a gentleman to the end. I had just refilled his 23mg aricept and don't want to flush them, if anyone here has ideas of what to do with them, email me privately.

Sorry about your loss. I lost my mother to this terrible disease in
2006. My dad took care of her for ten years which was very difficult.
I don't mean to be negative and maybe all cases are not the same but I
don't feel any of the drugs out there do anything but prolong the
inevitable and cause the family a tremendous amount of stress. I have
been following Alzheimer's for 17 years and I don't see any real
progress. Same drugs. Research finds something promising and then you
never hear any more about it. It seems like they are not interested in
finding a cure. They are only interested in treating the symptoms. Not
acceptable to me. I would flush the aricept and remember your dad the
way he was before he got Alzheimers.
Sorry for the rant. May your Dad and my Mother rest in peace.
