MEMORY-AID CLOCK APPLICATION

I would like to tell you about a free application to help those with
memory related illnesses. It is based on a freeware application called
'In My Diary' and this new Memory-Aid Clock should assist those who
support victims of dementia.

The 'engine' for this has the look of a traditional paper diary so
carers would find it straightforward to add details to show daily
events, anniversaries, special days (Christmas etc.). This data supports
the new Clock offering 24/7 day, date, time and easily customised
personal reassurance and reminders.

This works using a combination of always-on-screen reassurances and
pop-up reminder messages that display for a pre-arranged length of time.
I am very aware of the debilitating nature of this type of illness; it
has affected my immediate family, and this development of the program is
an attempt to try to offer some support.

With the ability to buy cheap used laptops from online auction and sales
outlets, it is my hope that, for a very small outlet to buy the laptop,
and this FREE software, sufferers can be helped in a way that best suits
their needs. The home page of In My Diary is http://www.inmydiary.co.uk
with specific details about the clock at
http://www.inmydiary.co.uk/MAC_help.pdf.

Kind regards,
Kevin Edwards (program author)
