Leptin and Alzheimer's Disease JAMA. 2009;302(23):2565-2572

It is my hypothesis that low DHEA may result in Alzheimer's disease
(copyrighted, 1985). A strong case may be made for this hypothesis.
Furthermore, a strong case may be made that testosterone reduces
availability of DHEA. Testosterone also reduces leptin levels. I suggest the
findings of Lieb, et al., may be explained by reduced testosterone in the
individuals in this study.
