Hi, I'm 42 years old and I have just been diagnosed with Addison's
disease, I have the symptoms for the last 6 years, I haven't started
taking and drugs as the doctors are still finalizing my medicine.

Does anyone know what to do when you have two days of stress, not being
able to eat, feeling sick, server abdominal pains and back of legs,
dizziness and black outs.

Finalizing your medicine???? They should have put you on medicine
right away and finalizing the amount later. You need to do something
now. Get ahold of your Dr or go to a new one. You are having an
Addison Crisis!!! DO SOMETHING SOON. GOOD LUCK

go immediately to emergency, dial 911, you are most likely in adrenal

i already responded to you Mark, and hope you went to emerg...but the reason
i knew the answer was, that in the past few months, my cortisol level went
from 39(dr. said it should be 3-400), and after a month or so of 30 mg. of
cortisol, is dropped down to 9....he said you have Addison's disease....this
is confusing, as i have had me(chronic fatigue immune syndrome), fm, for 17
years, spent 6 years in bed, and these debilitating illness's are not
supposed to be progressive.
However, i am scarred..when the dr. said yes you could die from this, and it
is particularly alarming as i am responding to the cortisol, not obsorbing
it, and now my thyroid(hypo) that developed with cfids, fm 17 years ago, is
also very low, below normal, and i am levo0thyroxine 0.1mg, and cytomel..but
now i am not absorbing these either..
one other factor, which i don't know if it is playing a role, is that in the
last 3 years i went on hormonal therapy for menopause(estradiol,
progesterone, testosterone and pregnonalone), through a compounding
pharmacist..when you add the cortisol, i think everything went out of
balance, as even these hormones were barely registering.
he said death comes from, low bp leading to collapse vascular system,
electrolyte imbalance(which causes the electrical impulse to the heart), and
i forget the third right now(brain fog plus, plus, and total exhaustion, i
mean i am used to chronic fatigue, but this is out of this world.
anyway i said to the dr., it's okay i am ready to go, and then cried all the
way home, and realized no i am not ready.. i have gained tons of weight 15
lbs. in 6 months, and 30 in all, but then i was underweight while very
sick(parastites, fungus, candida) in the first 6 years..
so i am sorry this post is so long., and detailed, but i don't understand
all of this, and people who have the same problem, usually know more than
the dr.s, i was in a chronic pain group in outlook., and it helped a lot.
so though is seems spammers are the primary people here(can they cause
virus/spyware damage?)....even there is anyone out there, that would be
willing to fill me in, direct me in the right direction, or hopefully gone
through something similar and come out the other side, i would dearly
appreciate you thoughts, feedback or suggestions
