Difficulties with meds and doctors

Bilateral adrenal hemorrhage put me in the emergency room in January of this
year. Both adrenals were apparently destroyed. Since then I have been
dealing with array of doctors and disturbing side effects. Hormone
replacement therapy has restored my appetite and my energy, but there remain
some very troublesome problems with fecal incontinence. My doctors are
clueless and one has stated that it is an age issue. That could be so but I
doubt that. I am learning that doctors know very little about these kinds
of issues.

That it is apparently how it is with this disease. Afflicts just a few and
is generally not a threat to life. I did not instigate this newsgroup and
wonder why anyone did? I'll check back anyway, as my issues are important
to me!
