You can't get rope? Where do you live? Are you locked up, and if
so, how do you manage to post?

Maybe it didn't work because the thin wire is not enough to shut
off the air pathways.

This ight sound like a dumb question, but where did you have the knot
placed? I attempted to hang myself more than once, and I passed out
within ten to 15 seconds. I tie the noose around my neck so the knot
is toward the back of my neck and the rope crosses my throat and
tightly squeezes my neck from about the very back of my neck, to
across my throat to passed my ear. My throat completely seals off as
well as three inches in either direction. By the way, I have never
experienced any discomfort, but have heard people claim that hanging
is very painful. You? Also, how much of your weight was drawing down
on the cord? Were you sitting? Kneeling? I've hanged in those
positions, as well as with my feet completely off the floor. When
I've knelt, my knees were a few inches off the floor. Sitting, my
rear was also elevated slightly so I wasn't in contact this the
floor. You used your cell phone charger? The wires on those are very
thin, so they should have been able to cut into your neck and maybe
even cut open your throat. The reason I ask about that is that I am
thinking of using a wire like a guitar string or piano wire to hang
myself with. Someone posted that they saw the body of someone who did
just that, and the person, a teenaged girl, was decapitated.
Gruesome? yes! But at least she succeeded!

I'm the one who saw the body of the teenaged girl who used a guitar
string to hang herself, and yes, if you didn't know she commited
suicide by hanging herself, you would have sworn she had been executed
on a guillotine, her decapitation was THAT clean! And that
description came from the coroner who performed her autopsy! I was in
the hospital recovering from another failed suicide attempt in the
spring when I saw her body! The Doctors took myself and three other
recovering suicide patients into the autopsy to view her! She was
rather beautiful too, but as I said, her head was cut off so
cleanly!

As for your description of the kneeling and sitting positions, these
two positions are the most frequent way teenaged boys who play The
Choking Game and who go too far are found. Death is always by
strangulation! I can't judge these kids for that as I have been found
unconscious more than a few times in those same positions! Most of
your weight is pulling down on the noose around your neck, and
unconsciousness usually occurs within 15 seconds. Death can take up
to 20 minutes before you are fully strangled to death! One theory as
to how long the strangulation takes to kill the boy is that having his
legs stretched out in front of him in the seated position, or his feet
laying on the gound in the kneeling position will in a way take a
little of the force off the noose. But then, being hanged completely
with your feet off the floor takes just as long to render you
unconscious and, if not found in time, will strangle you to death.
About 16 months ago, I was in a coma for several weeks. According to
the doctors, I had been hanged with my feet completely off the floor
for 15 minutes, and my heart had actually stopped! I was so close to
death! My life should have successfully ended, but it didn't. By the
way, being found hanged by their neck with their feet completely off
the floor is the third most frequent way teenaged boys are found dead,
and in many cases, like about 30%, their necks are broken! In fact,
even in the kneeling and seated positions, broken necks have been
known to occur, thus sealing the young boy's fate, but not very often.

Kneeling and sitting! Oh the memories of my youth! I started out
playing asphyxia games by kneeling with one end of a chord tied around
the clothes bar in my bedroom closet, and the other end wrapped around
my neck. I was doing this at 9-years-old! Then, shortly after, I
tried something else! I put two stacks of books on the floor of my
closet. I would lay face-down across the stacks so one pile was under
my knees and the other under my chest. I would then wrap that same
chord around my neck and lay so when I forced my head down, the chord
would tighten and strangle me. And as I laid there, my penis got very
hard, and I would stroke it until I came! Was I fantasising? Yes!
The chord was the lunette of a guillotine. And when I came, I
imagined the blade sliding down the frame and beheading me! The first
couple of times, I was clothed, but once I clued in as to what was
happening, I was completely nude after that! The crazy thing was
that, several times, I nearly passed out! Soon, like at the age of
11, I tried to hang myself in the basement so my feet were completely
off the floor. I passed out five or six times from the age of 12
until the night before I turned 16, and had to be cut down and
revived. Then, on the night before I turned 16, on November 23rd,
1970, I stepped off a chair and hanged myself once again. Only that
time, almost the instant I became suspended, I felt this crazy intense
pain in my neck! My neck snapped! I was unconscious for several
weeks, and lost my year in school. I was able to go back to school
the next September, and finished that year. The next year, I
graduated, a year late, but I graduated! Then I got the boot from
home! Nearly 18 years later, my neck would be broken again, and being
hanged was involved! Do I still hang myself? I do!

The kneeling position you described is a popular way young boys begin
playing The Choking Game. I know that's what I did when I first
started! I did try the seated position, but found the kneeling
position better. I was 11 when I graduated to trying complete
suspension with a rope around my neck. That worked well for 5 years,
until I suffered a broken neck when I was 16! I've also been told
that once you break your neck, if you survive, the chance of breaking
it again is quite high! And you will not survive the second one! I'm
32 now, and I anticipate the next neck snap anytime!

I was told that too! I had just turned 19 when I suffered a broken
neck two-and-a-half years ago, and it happened the same as your's! I
attempted to hang myself and fell 4 feet when I stepped off a small
platform in the attic! I have a very long and slender neck, so the
instant the rope snapped tight, giving my neck a very hard jerk, my
neck separated! The pain was so intense! I was in a coma for three
months and rehab for a year after that! I still feel pain, but what I
find amazing is how much better my neck feels if I get to be hanged
playing asphyxia games! As for me anticipating my second broken neck,
I am not only anticipating my neck being broken again, I'm embracing
the idea!

Since you've had several experiences with hanging yourself, as I have
also hanged myself multiple times, did you lose consciousness faster
when your neck broke? I've always been lead to believe that death was
instantaneous when the neck was broken, but I've also read where if it
happens by being hanged, death takes longer. Is it the same with
unconsciousness? Any reason? Does it have to do with the heart
rate? I noticed long ago that my heart beats significantly faster in
the final seconds leading up to my hanging myself. If my neck were to
break, would my heart's momentum allow me to remain alive for a few
more minutes after my neck's separation? Is this how you survived?

I'm curious too, although I'm more curious as to how painful it felt
when his neck separated! I'm another into self-hanging for sexual
pleasure and have known two other younger males who were both very
close friends, and both who broke their necks, one boy's neck broke
when he hanged himself, the other boy had his neck broken (sort of a
long story, but it involved a girl in our class, and within a couple
of hours of her snapping my friend's neck, she hanged herself!) For
me, there is a strong curiosity about having my neck brken, almost to
the point where I want it to happen! I know that the chances of
survival are very slim at best, but hey, if my neck snaps, it snaps!
There are worst ways to die! And death by hanging is sexual, as far
as my thinking goes! To break my neck would heighten my final
experience, almost as much as feeling an axe chop through my neck!

You sound as if you are seeking seriously to have your neck broken!
You also sound rather young! I've researched a few things and this
you might find interesting! As you most likely already know, the neck
of younger males is quite fragile compared to the neck of younger
females and older males in their 20's and older! I think it's been
posted elsewhere that many young boys who are into The Choking Game
and who go to the extreme of hanging themselves with their feet
completely off the floor are most susceptible to breaking their
necks! In fact, I found out that about 50% of the boys in the age
group of 10 to 17 years, and who are hanged, do break their necks!
Imagine! Half the boys who hang themselves "just' strangle to death,
while the other half suffer fatal neck fractures!! Younger girls are
playing The Choking Game in increasing numbers, but the ratio of
strangulation deaths to deaths complicated by broken necks is 100 to
1, vs boys of the same age where it's 2 to 1!

And something else! It's not just younger females who's necks are
stronger, but females in general! Apparently, as I have found out, if
you look at a table of drops (I found it through a posted message in a
newsgroup dealing with suicide and cannibalism), A woman who's
hanged, will require an additional 6 inches to a foot longer drop than
a male of the same weight to successfully break the neck! Our necks,
on average, are longer and less thicker (more slender) than a male's
neck! But we have to be dropped slightly more to cause our's to be
separated! But!!!! If we are dropped significantly longer, we
females are more susceptible to being decapitated!

Now, I wonder! Does that mean we require more force to snap our necks
when it's done by hard-twisting the head? And does the executioner
have to swing his/her axe or sword harder to behead us?

By the way, are you seeking to have your neck broken by hanging, or
will you settle for your neck to be snapped by having your head
twisted? I'm just curious, as I want my neck broken by having my head
twisted, preferrably during my final sexual encounter!

of the rope I used! Maybe I dropped six inches! But it was enough to
break my neck! By the way, it took me 18 months to recover from that
suicide attempt! And since then (16 years ago), I have made several
more attempts. And also as I said, according to the doctors who
treated me, my neck is forever weakened, and if I continue to hang
myself, both to kill myself, and experience a sexual high, I can
expect to suffer a second broken neck! And the second one will not be
survivable! I'm anticipating it!

As unbelievable as this sounds, I have broken my neck twice! The
first time was when I was also 16, and the second time, I was 34! I
should not have survived the second break! And I can confirm the
intensity of the pain! And I think the second time was worse that the
first! Also, unconsciousness didn't occur right away either time! My
neck weakened? Most definately! The second break occured so
easily!

I'm becoming more and more familiar with my own susceptibility, both
with the desire to experience having my neck broken, which I openly
admit to seeking, and with my mortality! I know that my death is
imminent! More and more, I am allowing myself to be put into
situations that will, one day, see me killed! I am taking very
serious risks!

Like I sadi, I am seeking to have my neck broken. Whether it happens
when I'm hanged, or someone twists my head hard and snaps it, doesn't
matter, so long as my neck is broken! I had two friends who died from
broken necks. Last April, my one very close friend had his neck
broken by having his head twisted by a girl in our class. The funny
thing was that this girl openly told him, me, and my other friend that
she would like to experience three things! One was to snap one of our
necks! The other two was to hang one of us until we were dead, and
the other was to cut off one of our heads! She actually pegged me as
the one she wanted to behead! Anyway, one Saturday evening, she was
with my buddy Tommy, and next thing we heard was that Tommy was found
dead in the girl's bedroom with his neck broken! Her body was found
in the basement! She hanged herself! My other friend Eric, like me,
and Tommy, was into The Choking Game, and loved to be hanged, just as
I do! At the end of June, Eric hanged himself! And somehow, despite
only a very short drop, Eric's neck was broken!

Having my neck broken like Tommy's was has appeal! But then, so does
having it happen when I'm hanged! And too, I have been hanged
recently where the person who hanged me assured me that the drop I was
to experience (5 feet!) was survivable, given my weight! I weigh 135
pounds, and according to a table I read, I need to drop at least 7-
feet, 6-inches to have my neck broken! Now, I have a very slender
neck. I wrapped one of those tape measures that are used in making
clothes around my neck. I measured 11-and-a-half inches! And my neck
is long, just over 6-inches! I'm 5-foot, 9-inches tall! The person
who supervised my long drop used a thicker rope than I have normally
used to hang myself with. I normally use a 1/2-inch thick rope. He
used a 3/4-inch thick rope with six coils in the knot. My normal
noose only has three coils! 5-feet? I dropped 6! My neck was jerked
so hard! But once the surprise of the jerk subsided, and just before
I passed out, I was able to realise that my neck was ok! And a few
minutes later, he had my body lowered and removed the noose from
around my neck. It hurts like I've never felt before, but I can move
my head, and there's no major bruising at the back of my neck. But I
will admit that, when my fall came to that sudden stop, I thought I
was going to die instantly! No! I did survive! How do I feel now?
Now, more than ever, I want an 8-foot drop! I want to drop long
enough to rip my long, slender neck apart! I want to die by hanging
and I want to hang so my neck is broken! Either than, or have my head
cut off, as has happened to someone very dear to me about a week or so
ago, and as happened 15 months ago to two 16-year-old boys who were
helping me with my accepting my Homosexuality.

I've read through so much with regard to this fragility of the male
neck and how susceptible males, especially younger ones are to havning
their necks broken when they hang themselves. And once I explain
myself, you will understand why I don't think the male neck is as
fragile as you may think!

My husband was suicidal. He was 47-years old when he made his first
of three attempts to hang himself within a year. Kenn made multiple
attempts when he was a teenager, but from the time he last tried to
hang himself when he was 17, until last year, he hadn't attempted
suicide, at least not that i knew of! It was labor Day weekend,
2008! Kenn stood on a 4-foot high ladder and had himself tied off so
he would have about a 3-foot drop! Yes, he hanged himself, but no, he
didn't break his neck. And yes, I was the one who found his body! On
February 14th of this year, just after his 48th birthday, he tried to
hang himself again. This time, he had obtained an 8-foot ladder, and
tied himself off so he would fall about 7-feet! I found his body!
Kenn was unconscious, and upon seeing how high the ladder was that he
stepped from, I was as surprised as anyone that he didn't break his
neck! The third attempt wasn't as high, and was in July! Kenn as I
said was 48, weighed 175 pounds, and had what i would term as a normal
neck.

Fragile? Well, having survived a 7-foot drop, I would say his neck
wasn't! Although I do know of at least three young boys who did die
from breaking their necks. One was 14, one was 15, and one was 17.
The boys were hanged, but none experienced any significant drop! But
then, I was told the 15-year-old did have two separate experiences of
falling at least 5 feet with a noose around his neck! The day he
hanged himself and broke his neck, he only fell a couple of feet! And
I also heard the 17-year-old tried a 6-foot fall! As for Kenn, he
survived a 7-foot fall! and for the record, he did finally die from a
neck separation, but it was caused by an axe cutting through his neck
on Sunday afternoon, September 6th, 2009!

My two broken necks were from very little drop! When I broke my neck
when I was 16, I fell maybe 6 inches! And when I broke my neck when I
was 34, the drop was three feet! The second broken neck was under
"supervised" conditions! In other words, someone was watching as I
hanged myself! And sometime after, when I saw her, she said it was
quite the sound when my neck snapped!, like a loud crack! It was
still quite painful!

According to a table I found, for me to have my neck broken by
hanging, I would have to drop almost 8 feet! I weigh approximately
135 pounds, and am 5 feet, 9 inches tall! But my neck measures almost
7 inches long, measured from the top of my shoulders to just under my
ear, left or right, the length was the same! Also, my neck measures
less that 12 inches around! I wonder of my long, slender neck would
lessed the requirement for such a long drop? Or if they did drop me
that far, would the possibility of my being decapitated be high?
Better yet, I could just use the 'High-C" guitar string to hang myself
with! I would be decapitated with only a 2-foot drop! And I know of
a person, a 16-year-old girl, who did just that! She used a guitar
string as a noose, and only fell about 2 feet! The wire sliced
completely through her neck and beheaded her! And she only weighed
about 120 pounds! If a 120-pound girl can have her head sliced off
with only a drop of two feet, then a 135-pound boy should be able to
achieve the same result!

That's extreme for sure! I wish you good luck should you try it!

As for e, as fate would have it, the lady who stood by and watched me
hang with my neck broken has re-entered my life! I had a chance
bumping into her just yesterday at a coffee shop I hang out at! She
sat with me and we talked about the day she hanged e as a quirky and
kinky conclusion to a wild sexual encounter, and we talked about how
easily my neck snapped that day! She openly admitted that, in the
twenty years since that broken neck, she has thought about the instant
she heard the crack as my neck gave out many, many times! She has
fantasies of hanging me on a full gallows, and when I drop and snap my
neck, she erupts into an almighty orgasm! Last night, we had sex
together and between sessions of her atempting to strangle me (three
times, and she delivered me into unconsciousness every time!), she
said she wants to hang me until I'm dead! I then showed her a set-up
I created! I have constructed a guillotine lunette, and am in the
prosess of adding the bascule part! My goal is to build a complete
guillotine, and upon completion, use it to self administer
decapitation on myself! It has been one! She is very interested in
being the one to release the blade to behead me! And it would be easy
to cover up my death as suicide!

I am asking that same question! I'm about your very same physical
measurements, although my neck is "slightly" shorter, but about as
thin, an I'm maybe a couple of pounds lighter! I do have a place that
will allow me the opportunity to be dropped enough to hopefully cause
complete separation of my neck! In fact, I have up to about 10 feet!
But I think to be dropped that distance would surely behead me, which
would not bother me in the least! After all, I'll be hanged to death
anyway! so why not aim for the "accidental" removal of my head?

Are you building your guillotine from plans? Or is it a custom
thing? I remember a young guy about my age posting that someone he
knew constructed a chopping block that was supposed to be custom fit
to his supposedly long neck! He also talked very openly about this
same person was planning his ultimate execution! Although I am
seeking to die by another method, that being by some way that will
guarantee my neck being completely broken, this idea of a custom made
block surfaced when someone I know showed me a block that was
constructed, not for him, but someone he knew! I have knelt at that
block! It's quite thick! An kneeling with my neck resting across it
felt ever so weird, but in a kinky, sexual way! For a few moments, I
actually felt like I was about to be beheaded! In a weird way, I was
so turned on! An if your guillotine is from plans, where did you fin
them?

I'm only curious as to how you could build a guillotine and have it
set up so you cut your own head off without someone else to release
the blade?

There was a man in England who did this! He built a guillotine an set
it up so the blade was held at the top of the frame with a wire. He
positioned himself under the blade and cut the wire with a pair of
wire cutter pliers. I wonder how heavy the blade was, and how high he
made the frame? And was he face-up or face-down? When I am executed,
I will choose face-up!

Commiting suicide in a way that would result in the head being cut off
is something I have thought about myself! About four years ago just
after my 16th birthday, I was recovering from my fourth suicide
attempt by hanging. The first two were total failures as the noose
gave out and slipped from around my neck, and the second one I didn't
have the rope tied off and it slipped from around the beam. My third
attempt left me in a coma for four days and my neck in a brace for two
months! My fourth attempt put me in a coma for two weeks and I had
suffered a very serious neck fracture. While I was still in the
hospital, I was told that another girl at school, a classmate and a
very good friend, hanged herself using a length of piano wire as a
noose. Where she got the wire I don't know. The result though, was
complete decapitation!. I tried to find out as much about her death
as I could mainly, I wondered how she was so successful! I know it
must have been fairly gruesome findnig her body, but was it all that
different than finding my nude body dangling a couple of feet over a
pool of pee? Since then I have made two more atempts to kill myself
by hanging, the last one about a year ago, that also resulted in a
neck fracture. But I am curious as to just how effective using a thin
wire as a noose would be in severing off my head? Mostly, would it
work with only about three feet of drop to work with? That's all the
length I have where I would be hanging myself.

When I was recovering from yet another auto-erotic accident a year
ago, I was shown the body of a 16-year-old girl who used a guitar
string to hang herself. I was told she only had a very short drop of
about two feet, but her head had been cut off in a way that, if you
didn't know she hanged herself, you would have thought she was
executed on a guillotine! Her head was cut off so cleanly! But as
you said, where she was found was such a bloodied mess! I know about
the peeing, as I too have peed myself once or twice when I've tried to
hanged myself. However, mostly I have shot semen when I am hanged!
Guess this is one difference between girls and boys! It's like as
soon as I have a tight noose around my neck, I have such a hard
erection! That's why, being into auto-erotic strangualtion and
hanging as I am, I look upon death by hanging and strangualtion as
quite a sexy way to die!

Oh my!! The first male to ever admit that he peed himself when he
tried to hang himself! Can I assume that you had this bodily function
after you were strangled into unconsciousness? In all honesty, I have
become involved with a much younger boy whose into sexual asphyxia.
This is a new aspect of sexual asphyxia, as after some 25 years of
being the one who is strangled and hanged, and always so willing to
allow myself to be treated that way, I have now become the one the one
to be the strangler and executioner! I was always the willing victim
allowing myself to be strangled into unconsciousness, and on several
occasions to the point of being on the verge of death, as well as
allowing myself to be hanged until I was unconscious and willingly
facing death! Now, I am enjoying the role of slipping my hands around
the young man's soft, slender neck, or watching him struggle as I pull
the chair from under his feet and suspend him by the noose around his
most sensuous neck! Too, though I have only adopted this new role
within the last three months, I have yet to observe the young man
peeing himself! Ejaculations? Yes! And very powerful ones too! But
I have to admit, I anticipate the time when I hang him and he does let
go! I've read where guys find it so sexy that we pee ourselves when
we are hanged! I hope I findd it equally sexy when I watch this young
man pee himself as he hangs!

I find your outlook on death to be intriguing! In a way, I can see
your point. Recently, I have crossed paths with a young man about the
same age as you and he has the same outlook, and he has been very
close to death once, about a year ago, when he attempted to hang
himself. So, I have to ask, is your outlook very prevelent amongst
males your age? And how close have you been to death yourself?

Personally, I know of 5 other boys around my age who see death by
strangulation and hanging the same as I do! One of the 5 is my
boyfriend! We met after we both had near-fatal accidents where we
were both hanged until we were almost dead! Actually, before that
accident, I had actually had six other incidents where I was found
unconscious with a noose tightened around my neck. I was found in a
kneeling position with the noose so tight and my knees were just off
the floor! This accident that lead to my meeting my boyfriend was the
first time I had ever tried to hang myself so my feet were off the
floor! I was only 10 when that happened! As for how close I have
been to actually dying, the closest happened 21 months ago, when I was
found hanged, and it was the first time my heart had actually
stopped! I WAS dead! But a paramedic decided that there was nothing
to loose, so once my body was cut down, and the noose removed from
around my neck, he gave my heart a jolt with one of those electrical
heart starters!

How long were you hanged for? Did anyone figure that out? It's my
understanding, and also from experience, that if your neck isn't
completely broken, it can take as long as 20 minutes to be strangled
to death, but anything over 5 minutes can result in some serious
permanent brain damage! Myself, I suffered three serious neck
fractures, one was so serious, I was so close to a complete, and
therefore fatal, separation! But because the break wasn't completely
through my neck, which would have severed the chord, I was able to
survive! I have attempted to hang myself 6 times! The first two
times were complete failures! The other 4 times, I had to be cut down
and revived. Twice, I regained consciousness within minutes. Another
time, I was like two days until I came to! Once though, I was
unconscious for three weeks! That was when I suffered the most
serious of my three neck fractures!

A broken neck is suppose to be instant death! Although, when someone
is hanged via a gallows, the theory is that, as the trap doors swing
out from under your feet, you generally have such an accelerated heart
rate that, once the neck is separated, the heart will keep beating for
several minutes. However, if someone gives your head a hard twist and
snaps your neck, the heart stops within seconds. Why? If your neck
is broken that way, usually it's by surprise. So, since you will
probably have a "regular" heart rate, it will stop much faster! (By
the way, there was a study by someone in France that suggested that a
head will live for almost a minute after decapitation! And since the
heart rate is high, the flow of blood from the body after the head is
cut off is quite a sight!)

When I was a very suicidal teenager (I made multiple attempts to hang
myself from the time I was like 11, until I suffered a near-fatal
complete neck fracture when I was 16), I do remember that my heart
seemed to be literally pounding as I hanged myself. I still feel a
rapid heart rate whenever I hang myself. And I do hang myself quite
often! It's called auto-erotic asphyxia, or auto-erotic hanging, or
sexual hanging, whichever way you wish to look at it. The end is the
means: I hang myself for sexual pleasure!

Interesting explanation for how long it takes to die when you are
hanged. Being hanged in a way that causes the neck to be broken still
accelerates death when compared to hanging yourself and being
strangled to death! But here is something someone e-mailed to me. A
woman has to be dropped almost a foot more than a man of the same size
to achieve a broken neck! And, if she hangs herself so she strangles
to death, it can take her like 10 seconds longer to lose consciousness
than it takes a guy, and it can take her as long as 30 minutes to be
strangled to death! A guy takes 20 minutes to strangle to death! As
for the brain damage thing, yes, we can be hanged a lot longer than
guys before our heads are damaged! (I'm not bragging, but I have been
hanged for well over 10 minutes, and on more than one occasion!)

And I wonder, will a woman's head live longer than a man's after being
cut off?

Hmmmmm! It takes more to break our necks, longer for us to lose
consciousness, and longer for us to die! And we're supposed to be the
weaker sex!

Overall, I think what you said has merit. But I guess there are
exceptions to any rule! I've read through many posts about the number
of younger males who broke their necks with relative ease! And most
died from the injury. But it's the ones who broke their necks and
lived to tell about it that I'm kind of amazed at! The reason being
that, without any real effort on my part, I suffered three neck
fractures through suicide attempts by hanging. One resulted in me
coming so close to a complete separation, which I hoped would have
been fatal! As for the times you quote, I can guess that those aren't
"set in stone" either! When I suffered my most serious neck fracture,
I was 16 (barely), and it was estimated that, because of my almost-
stopped heart, I must have been hanged for close to 20 minutes! After
I regained consciousness, which took weeks, my head was so screwed
up! It took me quite a while before I could think straight! That's
why I would like to know how long that young man was hanged for! He
said he was declared dead! I'm also curious as to what efforts he has
made to at least try to cause his neck to snap. I know he hasn't
succeeded as of yet. The other reaso I am curious is because I have
recently crossed paths with another young man about his age who tried
to hang himself about a year ago and he broke his neck. But the boy's
spinal chord wasn't severed, so his neck wasn't completely broken.
I'm only curious! Well, curious in that, I am seriously thinking of,
once again, trying to hang myself. If there is any chance that I can
insure the complete and total separation of my neck to ensure my
death, I want to know!

Yes, there are exceptions. But then, as I said before, you are the
first woman who has admitted that you broke your neck in a hanging
accident. While I would like to say how sorry I am that you are
thinking of doing yourself in again, I have to also admit that I
admire you for trying yet again! And I'm speaking as one who has
repeatedly tried to hang herself many, many times since she was only
13! Whatever you do, I hope it works out the way you want it to
work!

Hi Mandy! That time I was declared dead, the doctor estimated that I
was hanged for over 15 minutes! I was in a coma for 4 weeks! Too, I
like how you said that your head was screwed up. When I finally
regained consciousness, my head was so out of it for several weeks!
Took me months before my head was totally clear! And have I tried to
cause my neck to break? That is a so yes! There is a cool video on
YouTube that the person who posted it claims it's real. A guy was
filmed as he hanged himself, and he jerked his body around until you
hear this sound that, according to the poster, is the sound of his
neck breaking. I have tried it! Obviously with no success, yet! But
I do try! One thing I have thought about, was to have someone
manually snap my neck by gripping my head and twisting it hard! Like
the older gentleman said, whenever I have hanged myself, I could not
help but notice that my heart is really pounding! Maybe getting
someone to manually break your neck is the answer, if that is what you
want!

Having someone manually break my neck for me is something I have given
a thought to. I'm reluctant though, as I really don't want a second
party involved in my endevour to kill myself. I wouldn't want them to
face any legal problems! Even the idea of having someone watch as I
hang myself has crossed my mind, but again, I'm reluctant! Suicide is
a personal choice, one that I have thought through. It's my choice to
choose to slip a noose around my neck and hang myself. And even
though I have had 6 failures to date, I still think about it, and
there are times I have even stepped up onto a chair and had the noose
around my neck, and am ready to step off the chair, only to change my
mind just as I begin to take that last step. But then, there are
those etimes where I step off the chair! And right now, I'm stepping
up onto that chair. The rope is tied around a big pipe, and the noose
is being tightened around my neck! Will I be stepping off soon? The
time is so right!

The only problem if your neck is broken when you hang yourself, and
you are found before death takes you, is the recovery is long! I
know! I tried to hang myself five years ago, and I broke my neck in
the process. Yes, I'm one of those rare females who hanged herself,
and it wasn't my first time, and who also broke her neck. I've only
done that once! But the recovery was long! I was in a coma for six
months. Once I sort of regained consciousness, it took me another six
months before my head functioned any where near normal. Then there
was another twelve months before I was able to use my arms. Add
another twenty-four months before I regained the use of my legs. I
was 45-years-old when I broke my neck. Recovery has taken me five
years! As I said, it wasn't the first time I attempted suicide by
trying to hang myself. But the broken neck was an experience! Funny
though, even though breaking my neck took five years out of my life, I
find myself wanting my neck broken again! Maybe the next one will be
fatal!

How did it feel, I mean, when you felt your neck break? Were you able
to feel anything below your neck? Did you lose all feelings? When I
fractured me neck, I felt such a massively sharp pain in my whole
neck. My head suddenly felt like it was in a very thick fog. But I
could still feel my body below my neck. I do remember trying to jerk
myself to hopefully cause it to break so I wouldn't feel anything
anymore.

The pain I felt was not anywhere near what you felt! It was massive!
It was so intense that my mind went blank, then it went black! I do
remember two things. One was that I lost all sensation below my
neck! I was paralysed! The second was that I saw six people holding
out their handds toward me, ddrawing me to them! This was weird in
that those six people were people who were in my life, but had died.
They were all my family, my brother, my mother, and my two sisters,
and both my ex-husbands. I was 15 when my mother was killed in a
freak car accident. She was 45 when her car was hit hard from
behind. It was freaky because she should have died, but her death
should have been caused by a broken neck. As it happened, and nobody
was able to explain why, But mom was decapitated! Her head was cut
off! And there were no other injuries to her body! It seemed that
the blow to the rear snapped her head back, breaking her neck, but
then something unexplained happened that caused her neck to give in
such a way that her head was cut off! As I said, it was weird! Then,
my brother broke his neck four weks later when he hanged himself.
Barry was 23 when he died! Two years later, as I was recovering from
a suicide atempt of my own (not my first), I met a 20-year-old guy
named Justin, who was also recovering from trying to hang himself. I
married him 3 months later. Four years later, my husband suffered a
broken neck, just as my brother had, when he hanged himself. Five
years later after yet another suicide attempt, I met Jerry, a
recovering suicide! I was 26 and he was 40! Three months after
Jerry and I married, my oldest sister Connie (I had two sisters,
Connie and Janet, and we were all younger than my brother, and I was
the youngest!) commited suicide by hanging herself, and she too, like
my brother and first husband, suffered a fatal broken neck! Connie
was only 30 died! My middle sister Janet died when she was 40! She
was three years older than I was, and a year younger than Connie! I
could not believe that Janet also hanged herself! It seemed like we
were all doomed to the fate of death by hanging! And yes, Janet broke
her neck too!

I was married to Jerry for 16 years! I was still grieving over Janet,
Connie, Barry, and Justin, and my mother, when Jerry, who was 56 at
the time, commited suicide by hanging himself. Then three years after
Jerry commited suicide, it was my turn. I had many failures, dating
back to when I was 11-years-old! Actually, the first time, I had
help, but that is for another time! Anyway, when my neck broke, and
my mind was fading, I saw them all, my mother, my brother, my sisters,
and both my husbands! They were reaching out and calling me to them!
As I said, it was strange! By the way, my father died of a heart
attack when he was 55. I was 30 when he died! Funny, when I saw
those people, my family and both husbands, I didn't see him! Oh well,
I guess since he didn't die by hanging, he felt he wasn't needed!

Mandy, you had the same result I did! I felt the most intense pain,
but could still feel below my neck! Even with having my neck broken
twice, I've tried the jerking around with no success! Don't get me
wrong, to die by hanging is my desired way to go! It's just that to
have my neck broken would make the chances of success better! Perhaps
aranging for someone to manually break my neck is what I have to
do!

You are both into the kind of kinky activity I'm into! And like you, I have suffered several neck fractures over the years, culminating in a complete breakage of my neck 7-years ago. Not being one to take things easy, and having a serious death wish, 17-months ago, I suffered a strain in my neck, roughly in the same joint that was broken. When my neck was x-rayed, there were signs that my neck was not only weakened, but appeared to have been on the very edge of separation. Somehow, the joint held, but I was told that I was tempting fate too much! Then, 15-months ago, on New Year's Eve, I suffered a 50% separation at the same joint because there wasnt proper healing. I had only subjected my neck to the slightest of a jerk! Had I given my neck any more of a force than I did, my neck would have been completely separated, and I would have died. Did it heal? Well, it's finally healing only now because, last June, on my 52nd birthday, that 50% separation was "aggrivated" and became a 70% separation. And that happened with my neck being subjected to hardly any force! My neck has been significantly weakened, and most likely even the slightest of forces applied to my neck now will break my neck, thus killing me, and could even result in decapitating me!

How did you manage to break your neck so easily? I have made numerous attempts to kill myself by hanging myself. I've tried everything to cause my neck to snap! I've tried a somewhat long drop of about 3-feet. I've even placed the noose around my neck so the coil was pressing up against my spine hoping that, when the noose jerked tight and started to strangle me that the coil woulld push hard enough against my neck that it would be sheared. I've even tried to jerk myself around to cause my neck to snap! I've known three other guys who did manage to hang themselves, but death was because of cerebral hypoxia and strangulation. None of them broke their necks!

I weigh 160-lbs ((72-kilo's), amd 5-feet, 10-inches (175-cm) tall. My neck is slightly over 5-inches (13-cm) long and is a size-14 (36-cm).

My last attempt to hang myself was 9-months ago. Any advice as to what I can do to hang myself so my neck snaps? The longest drop I can manage is 4-feet!

On June 10th, 2011, sometime mid-afternoon, my 16-year-old brother (he turned 16 on May 13th) hanged himself. Although everything pointed to suicide, because of his history of playing The Choking Game, I've believed his death to be accidental. When I found his body at around 5:00 that afternoon, he had been dead for about four hours. Although he didn't experience any great drop, Randy did suffer a broken neck. In fact, when I found him, his feet were within a few inches of the floor, and the stool he stepped off was only 30-cenimeters high. Randy was 177-cenimeters tall and weighed 66-kilograms. Before, his neck measured 16-centimeters long, and was size 32-centimeters. After his neck broke, until his body was cut down, his neck went through a significant lengthening process. There was a 15-centimeter gap between where his spinal column/chord had separated, and his neck size had reduced to 21-centimeters around mid-way between where it separated. Too, there was significant bruising around his neck from the rope he used to hang himself with.

Nine months previous, on Labor Day weekend, 2010, a friend of his also broke his neck when he hanged himself on his 15th birthday. Like my brother, that boy was 176-centimeters tall, and weighed 66-kilograms. Too, like my brother, that boy had a 15-centimeter long by size 33-centimeter neck. He also had very little drop. Again, like my beloved randy, his friend's neck went through a lengthening process, although he was only dead for about two hours before he was found! His neck had lengthened 8-centimeters, and had reduced to a size 25-centimeters.

Both boys were relatively light, and both did not subject themselves to any great drop to jerk their necks as they did. But, both broke their necks with relative ease! For my brother, it wasn't the first time he tried to hang himself. He had a history for attempts over a four year period, from when he was 12! At least that was the first time his body was found suspended from a gallows beam and he had to be cut down and revived. I suspected there were similar incidents before that! As for the other boy, there was also a history there, but I don't know to what extent or frequency. Too, in my brother's case, it was thought that his neck was quite vulnerable to breaking because he had an unsusally long and slender neck for a teenaged boy, and this was why, despite his light weight, his neck broke with relative ease. Since his friend also had an unusually long and slender neck, the same assumption was made about his death.

I don't know about the relative ease of how you brother managed to break his neck. I myself have a history of trying to hang myself, most recently 5-months ago. Too, I have what you described as an unusually long neck for a younger male. I weigh 70-kilos and am 178-cm tall. My neck was measured after my latest hanging attempt in late July primarily because I attempted a drop of approximately 120-cm. The force I felt when the rope snapped tight and jerked my neck was very painful. Anyway, my neck measures a length of approximately 16-cm and is sized at 31-cm. I did suffer a severe strain and have had to wear a neck brace since. All I'm saying is that there must have been other circumstances that resulted in your brother breaking his neck. Maybe some very aggressive jerking around as he hanged? I've tried that, although without obvious success!

As for his death being listed as suicidal, while you believe it to have been accidental, well, both thoughts are true. I play The Choking Game too, have played since I was 8! I started by wrapping a belt around my neck, and when I was 10, I experienced my first "mock suspension". I tied the belt around my neck and the other end around the clothesbar in my closet, then I knelt down. When I was 11, I had to have the belt cut and be revived. I began fully suspending myself when I was 12, and have had several occasions where I had to be cut down and revived.

I am on record as a suicide. And The Choking Game confirms it. Though most players only admit to "the thrill" they experience from the strangulation, it honestly goes deeper. I have no hesitation about wrapping a ligature or tightening a noose around my neck. I've even allowed myself to be strangled by a second party. It's amazing how many girls will jump at an opportunity to strangle a boy! And, I have no hesitation about stepping off a chair with a noose around my neck. The "thrill" is that powerful and controlling! The Game is very addictive. And it conditions you. It conditions you that strangulation is very sexy, and you quickly learn to embrace the sensation rather than fear it. And you do not fear death. You actually become conditioned to the thought that death by strangulation and hanging is beautiful. You even crave it! That is why Choking Game players really are suicidal. And I openly admit that I am suicidal. If I hang myself and I go too far and strangle to death, oh well!

Oh, one final point. I have tried to cause my neck to snap by jerking myself around in an aggressive manner. I came close once, so far! Why? As sick as this sounds, I want to experience what breaking my neck will feel like! It's almost as sick as wanting to experience the sensation of being decapitated. I've wondered about that since my own father was decapitated, and I've wondered what he experienced as his head was cut off. Like I said, it's sick, but I think about it a lot.

Hello, Nicky, If the space you have will only allow you to have a 4-foot drop, you won't break your neck. To properly break your neck, you need a long enough drop so that, when the rope snaps tight and jerks your neck, your neck will have to be subjected to a force of approximately 1100-pound-feet. A 4-foot drop will only subject your neck to a force of about 500-pound-feet. The proper required length of drop for you would be 1100 divided by your weight, 160-pounds. So you need a correct drop of 6-feet, 9-inches, or 7-feet to be sure. This will properly break your neck. Also, I don't know what you have researched, but, when your neck does break, you will experience the most intense pain you ever felt. But!! It will only be for a second or maybe two at most! Then, you will lose consciousness, and death should occur within 5-seconds!

Then there are other reactions! The one reaction has been talked about several times around here, and that is the amount your neck will "elongate", or stretch when it breaks. At the instant your neck snaps, it will stretch! When they autopsy your body, there will be a sizable gap between the separated points. How much will that gap be? This really blew me away when I read this, and DAMN! I can't find where I read it to quote it. Your neck will stretch at least 6- to 8-inches almost instantly! It might even stretch 10-inches, but, if it is that long, you will be decapitated. And yes, the stretching process continues after death. How long do you think it will be before your body is found?

Now, one concern from people is that, when your neck breaks, the bodily functions occur involuntarily. IE, you pee and defecate. Well, males get involuntary erections and ejaculate. No wonder certain cultures (BDSM?) look upon the hanging of males as erotic! As for the defecation, one article I read about executions in the U.S., is that, if the hanging is "proper", and the neck is properly broken, because death is so quick, the male body doesn't usually defecate. Women, on the other hand, always pee and defecate! Too, their necks don't elongate as much as ours either, maybe only 2- to 3-inches! Go figure!

Nicky, if you can only manage to be strangled, it will take as long as 30-minutes to kill you. You can still be brought back even after 10-minutes! I know! From when I was 11-years old (the first time it happened), until I was 28, when my suicide tendencies peaked, I was hanged eleven times where I was unconscious for well over 5-minutes. Three of those incidents, it was 10-minutes! And when I was 26, my heart was actually stopped. I fractured my neck too! There was one incident when I was 16 where my boyfriend and I hanged ourselves in a suicide pact in a secluded wooded area. Our bodies were found within a couple of minutes of us passing out. The person who found us checked my boyfriend out, and cut him down, and was able to revive him, although it took him 3- to 4-minutes before Tommy started to breathe again. But, I was left hanged! This was one of those incidents where I was unconscious for 10-minutes. Once Tommy was relatively OK, I was cut down. I was in a coma for 6-weeks. It wasn't that the person deliberately left me to die, although I wished he had, it was just that, once he felt Tommy's wrist, Tommy became his primary point of interest. Ironically, Tommy did hang himself, and was strangled to death, 9-months later! My point is that, even though I was unconscious for so long so many times, and I was in comas for weeks at a time, I survived. One day, I won't!

Nicky, I did send you a personal e-mail, but it has come back as failure to deliver. Do I assume you succeeded? If you did, I love you!

Sometimes, being hanged in a jail cell can lead to the successful termination of your life, but not often. Back in 1976, when I was 21-years-old, I was arrested for vagrancy. Seeing an opportunity, I made a noose out of bedsheets. I hanged myself by tying the sheets off so that, as I sat down with my legs straight out so that, when the sheet tightened, my behind was far enough off the floor so my hands couldn't touch the floor. It seemed to take forever for me to be strangled by the noose around my neck! I woke up some 48-hours later in the hospital. They didn't keep me in, but the officer who arrested me escorted me out of town with the warning never to show my face there ever again. I tried to hang myself, but didn't succeed!

To die by hanging is more often to be strangled to death. It can take as little as 10-seconds to lose consciousness, but it can also take as long as 45! Cerebral damage often occurs after 5-minutes, and death can take 15-minutes to as long as 30-minutes. Some who survived attempts to hang themselves describe intense pain within the head in those precious seconds leading up to unconsciousness. I have never experienced that, with the exception of some "major" discomfort within my upper neck that I have experienced. That, and a sore throat!

However, if you could manage to break your neck, which I have made many, many attempts to do, will result in death within 3- to 5-seconds at most. To do this though requires you to subject your neck to a blunt force of 1,100 pound-feet! The length of drop required is 1,100 divided by your weight. For someone like me, weighing 185-pounds, I require a drop of 6-feet to 6-feet, 6-inches to properly break my neck. Failing a required drop, I thought of having someone snap my neck. Finding someone willing to do that has proven difficult for sure. After all, I am asking someone to murder me! Who would be so willing to do that? You would be surprized that people actually have offered! You would be equally surprized at how many are women!

you hang yourself if you do not die immediately for the breakup of the axis,
say who did it and painful.
If it breaks this bone and that 'the second bone from the apex of the
cerebellum, or 2nd vertebra I read, death and' immediate.
For what I want to die with the gas.
I put the bottles of propane gas in the car, lock me up and open the

WHAT THE HELL DUDE????????????? THAT IS NOT A JOKE YOU DON'T JOKE ABOUT SOMETHING AS DETRIMENTAL, DEPRESSING, AND PUNISHING AS SUICIDE. SUICIDE IS NEVER A JOKING MATTER. NEVER. AND PEOPLE ON HERE ARE TALKING ABOUT HOW THEY'VE ATTEMPTED IT AND HOW THEY WILL CONTINUE TO DO IT AND IN DETAIL! AND EVEN IF THEY WEREN'T- HOW CAN THAT POSSIBLY BE A JOKE???????????? YOU'RE ENCOURAGING IT. THIS IS SICK. I AGREE THAT WE SHOULD TALK ABOUT SUICIDE PREVENTION AND ENCOURAGE SUICIDE PREVENTION- BUT NOT ENCOURAGE SUICIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MY MOM IS A HIGH SCHOOL TEACHER AND SHE LOST 2 STUDENTS IN 2012 TO SUICIDE WITHIN 8 MONTHS OF EACH OTHER. STOP IT. JUST STOP DOING WHAT YOU'RE DOING. YOU'RE ENCOURAGING PEOPLE AND TALKING ABOUT IT AS IF IT'S AMUSING AND ENTERTAINING. AND IT'S NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FAMILIES AND FRIENDS AND COWORKERS GET DAMAGED FOR LIFE. IT DOES NOT GO AWAY. MY FRIEND FROM COLLEGE'S COUSIN KILLED HIMSELF- AND HIS SISTER HAS SUFFERED FROM ANOREXIA. PEOPLE WHO SAY THEY'RE JOKING ABOUT SERIOUS MATTERS LIKE THIS ARE SAYING IT TO JUSTIFY THEIR PROBLEM. YOU CLEARLY HAVE A HUGE PROBLEM AND YOU NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ALL OF YOU HERE NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND IF YOU DON'T HAVE ANY RESPECT AND CONSIDERATION FOR YOURSELF TO NOT TALK ABOUT SUICIDE IN THIS WAY- THEN HAVE A LITTLE RESPECT AND CONSIDERATION FOR OTHERS NOT TO TALK ABOUT IT LIKE IT'S OK. BECAUSE IT'S NOT. IT'S NEVER OK. LAST SUMMER I THOUGHT ABOUT HANGING MYSELF IN MY GARAGE AND I DIDN'T DO IT. YOU KNOW WHY? BECAUSE I HAVE WAY TOO MUCH TO LIVE FOR. AND AT 22, I HAVEN'T EVEN LIVED A QUARTER OF MY LIFE. SO I'D BE WASTING A LOT OF POTENTIAL. AND I COULDN'T DO THAT TO MY MOTHER AND PUT HER THROUGH THAT- ESPECIALLY AFTER HER LOSING 2 STUDENTS IN THE PAST YEAR. I COULDN'T PUT ANY OF MY FAMILY, FRIENDS, OR ANYBODY THAT CARED ABOUT ME THROUGH SOMETHING AS TRAUMATIZING AS THAT. SHAME ON YOU. AND I'M NOT EVEN THAT RELIGIOUS OR ANYTHING- BUT DON'T YOU DARE USE GOD TO JUSTIFY YOUR JOKES ABOUT SUICIDE.
*SUICIDE IS A NEVER ENDING PUNISHMENT FOR THOSE IN YOUR LIFE AND AROUND YOU.

I also do not think suicide is a joke. But, what I find interesting, whenever I get into any discussions about taking your own life, is how people say that there are lots of signs that someone is about to (try to) kill themselves. Really?
Personally, when I was so on the edge of committing suicide (from 1966, when I was only 11-years-old until the early 80's). I made several attempts to kill myself, and spent much of my teen years under psych evaluation. The only sign anyone saw was the day my mother's boyfriend went into the basement and found mother's 13-year-old son's body suspended from a beam by the rope around his neck. And it wasn't my first time either! That was the one that caused a major fight between my mother and her boyfriend. When I was found, I still had a pulse. A weak one, but there was still one. The fight? My loving mother wanted me left hanged until I was dead! Her boyfriend won out!

No, still being suicidal, and with my history, I take the subject of suicide very serious. But, I am not anti-suicide, and firmly hold the belief that, if you are considering killing yourself, and you feel strongly about it, that is your decision. Some say that it's the ones you leave behind who will suffer. Maybe! Then again, maybe not! Going back to that 13-year-old boy hanging by his neck that afternoon, the "one left behind" would have been glad the boy died, and in fact, not long after that, had her boyfriend not intervened, she would have strangled me to death with a scarf. So much for the loved ones!

It reminds me too of three friends who committed suicide following the famous meltdown of 2008. Two were single. One hanged himself in his garage, while the other hanged himself in his basement. The third friend? He was preparing to hang himself in the basement, and his wife walked in, just as he was adjusting the noose around his neck. According to her, they had a very heated argument that only lasted maybe two minutes. Then, she kicked his stool away and walked out, returning some two hours later to "find" her husband's body! She had no remorse for doing that.

As I said, suicide is a serious subject. To me anyway.
