"The View" Host: "A Significant Portion" Of Americans Are Inherently Racist

Sunny Hostin claimed on Thursday that, in her opinion, it was impossible to
say that the vast majority of Americans were not racists.

Hostin made the comments to co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin during an exchange
on ABC’s midday talk show “The View” — where she further claimed that during
a recent trip to Florida, her own son had been “called the n-word several
times.”

Griffin started the conversation by stating that, while she believed there
were certainly people in America who most would agree are racists, she did
not think that label applied to “the vast majority” of Americans.

“I feel that —” she attempted to continue, but Hostin quickly cut her off.

“But the FBI director said that white supremacy is the biggest threat to our
country today,” Hostin asserted, talking over Griffin’s objections.

“Well, that still doesn’t mean that’s the vast majority of people,” Griffin
persisted. “I just don’t believe that in my day-to-day life, that the people
that you are encountering harbor racist viewpoints. I do think that this
division that we’re creating …”

Hostin interrupted again, claiming solemnly, “If you looked like me, you
would believe differently.”

“Just to understand,” Griffin pressed for clarification. “Are we saying — do
we think the vast majority of Americans are racist? That’s what I’m trying —
help me understand.”

“I think that there is a significant portion that are racist, and you can’t
dismiss my lived experience,” Hostin protested. “When I say that there are a
lot of racists in this country, I just experienced my son walking down the
beach being called the n-word several times in Florida. So you can’t say, ‘I
believe that the vast majority of the American people aren’t racist,’ we
don’t know that.”

Hostin, as the Media Research Center’s Nick Fondacaro pointed out, has
previously claimed that her “lived experience” included being yelled at by
Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) during a congressional hearing in which she’s been
asked to testify.

Despite Hostin’s repeated claims that he had scolded her directly and was
“spitting” because he was so angry, a video record of the hearing shows that
Jordan never directly addressed Hostin at all.

"Lived experience" - that's a term I've grown to really really hate of
late - maybe it's based on something often times it's not. >MY< "lived
experience" is that there are a LOT of complete bozos on the road who
shouldn't have drivers' licences and are a menace to their neighbors
in society. After all "you can't say, 'I believe the vast majority of
drivers on the road aren't bozos', we don't know that!"

In other words say whatever outrageous comment you want and tell the
person you denies it "we can't know that".

I've been watching a lot of Youtubes of 'The Greg Show' lately and he
debunks a lot of the put downs of others in this vein.
