Got this E-mail which looked like an invoice for a website,
and addressed not to me, I thought at first it was an error.

At the bottom of the page there was in very small letters
click here to unsubscribe which means the e-mail was a
fake. It was an attempt to get me goto the website and
log on using the passwords inclosed.

Here is part of the mail,

This is probably the worst type of spam. I just got this myself. Luckily
I've cut up all my credit cards long ago so I didn't (couldn't) fall for it
;)

Just to give you an idea how bad this is, if spam were legal this would
still be flagrantly illegal.

damn..

I got a similar one last night, telling me that my VISA card was about to be
debited, with a link to click if I wanted to 'cancel.'

I got this one today, too. I find it particularly disturbing.

If you look at the html source for the e-mail, you can go to the site
and try to log on as a user (without following their target e-mail
address identifying link in the e-mail). After you press "Member" (or
whatever), it takes you to a URL within www.newbilling.com to sign on.
If you go to plain www.newbilling.com, and follow the Contact link,
you find:

From what I saw on the web site, it looks like a legit business (but
who knows?). I suggest we all call them and tell them what we think
about this type of e-mail! You may want to drop a line to your
state's attorney general, as well as California's AG at:

I plan on it.
