Cubase LE 1.0.10 Serial Number

I bought a Tascam US-144 from a pawnshop today. Checked to make sure
software, USB cable etc. were still in box. Went to install Cubase and
can't find a serial number anywhere. There is numbers on the CD sleeve
but they do not work on an install.
Searched around on Cubase user forums and this seems to be a common
problem. Any help would be appreciated.

I bought a Zoom H4 which came with Cubase LE4 a few weeks ago. Same initial
problem. You need to do it through your My Steinberg account at
www.steinberg.net and the Activation & Reactivation section. You'll need to
register yourself first so that you can log in to My Steinberg.
