Looking to purchasing some entry level desktops with Intel 810 chipsets with
onboard video/audio (less then £350 here in the UK)

Need to purchase a sound card to put in these machines (after disabling
onboard sound) that I can use for entry level teaching of Cubase 5 and
Reason

Can anybody recommend a entry level card with ASIO drivers that will not
conflict with the 810 chipset

Thanks

The cheapest option would be SBLive using the APS drivers, but that limits you
to 48k and win9x. Next on the price ladder is one of the Hoontech cards... a
much better choice apparently (let's face it, sblive isn't that good, and using
hacked drivers in an educational setting is far from ideal).
I think these guys use Cubase for education, so you might want to drop them a
mail.
