Notify your insurance company/agent regardless if you received a citation or another party in the accident received a citation. If you have an occupied child restraint seat in your vehicle at the time of the accident, please notify your insurance company for possible replacement. The seat could have been damaged during the accident, which would jeopardize the future safety of your child.</div><div></div><div></div><div>If your vehicle was towed from the accident scene and the Colorado State Patrol called the tow truck, you should have received a Colorado State Patrol Incident Report form with the tow company's information on it. If you did not receive the Incident Report form at the scene, it will be mailed to you at the Trooper's earliest opportunity. This form will also contain the case report number in the upper right hand corner. If you require further information, please contact the Trooper who investigated the accident.</div><div></div><div></div><div>To recover any personal items that may have been in your vehicle at the time that it was towed, please contact the tow company. If your vehicle has a hold placed on it for some investigatory reason, please contact the Trooper that is investigating the accident for the release procedures.</div><div></div><div></div><div>Any person operating a vehicle on a Kentucky highway, who is involved in an accident resulting in any property damage exceeding $500 in which an investigation is not conducted by a law enforcement officer, shall file a written report of the accident with the Kentucky State Police (KSP) within 10 days of the occurrence of the accident using the Online Civilian Traffic Collision Report.</div><div></div><div></div><div>There are two ways to get your accident report: Pick it up from the Sheriff's Office, 400 Walton Way, during regular business hours; or order it online. As a service to our community, the Richmond County Sheriff's office provides online access to Richmond County accident reports through a paid service provided by BuyCrash.com.</div><div></div><div></div><div>Accident reports are generally available within three to five days after the accident, but can take longer depending on the complexity of the report. The fee for ordering a report from BuyCrash.com is $11. Copies picked up at the sheriff's office are 10 cents per page.</div><div></div><div></div><div>The Records Unit endeavors to provide high-level customer service in facilitating and disseminating public records in accordance with Florida State Statute 119. The Records Unit is responsible for maintaining and distributing offense reports, supplemental reports, accident reports, arrest reports, and miscellaneous incident reports.
