there was news.cis.dfn.de but I'm sure they splintered off into an
English speaking equivilent.

It's now news.individual.net.

And there's plenty of newsreaders out there. Xnews, Forte Free Agent,
Mozilla Messenger... (no, OE does not deserve mention -- it's no true
newsreader)

But you can view HTML code with it and run java applications! Clearly it
is superrior!

I remember this discussion before. Clearly, Tryalak is the only one
who would enjoy security holes big enough to drive a *ahem* "truck"
through.

Matt: Don't post with Google Groups 2 Beta. I find it doesn't use
'post-trees' (with replies) properly. If you want to post with Google,
do like me and use the original (yes, i do sometimes use 2. It's got a
lot of cool new features, but they're somewhat outweighed by faults).
