Can a ship enter hyperspace but stay in a stationary position, I ask this
because in the Imperial Sourcebook page 36 it discribes a device, The
Hyperspace Orbiting Scanner(HOS). A Brief discription: Left in hyperspace
orbit around a planet, the HOS sensors do not pick up the signals from the
computer directly. They monitor the hyperspace shadows left by streaking
particles inside a Computer. It also mentions that this HOS hyperspace shadow
is lost against the shadow of the planet and other larger space vehicles.

Could this show that a ship can remain in hyperspace without actually
traveling anywhere? Could this in turn equal a way to change direction in
hyperspace?. I believe it also shows how good Imperial scanners are if they
can pick up an individual particle's hyperspace shadow from orbit.

Thoughts.
