Which is the fastest of the two? Hyperspace in SW or Warp speed in ST?
The reason why I ask is that it seems that they cover more space in
SW.

hyperspace by a LONG way. in the Thrawn trilogy, a rather old ship has a
hyperdrive which a character says allows travel of 127light-years per hour.
In a Voyager episode (either scorpion part 2 or the one straight after) the
engineer says "40 light-years? Thats a 5-day journey even at maximum warp"
so their top speed is 8 light-years per DAY. Therefore hyperspace is much
faster. In one hour, a hyperdrive goes 119 light-years further than a
warp-drive does in a whole day.

The nature of Gene R.'s Star Trek universe was one of discovery. R. made it
so that Starfleet vessels could go fast, but not fast enough to span the
galaxy in several hours. That made it possible to explore "strange new
worlds" in every episode. In Star Wars, where initially, 3 movies
encompassed the entire story, I imagine Lucas allowed his ships to go a lot
faster so that the entire Galaxy could be travelled in a much shorter space
of time.

I've always found the tech comparisons between the two movies quite amusing.
The FTL travel and stellar infrastructure of SW is way beyond ST, but the ST
universe is way ahead when it comes to "social" changes. We see slavery and
poverty in SW, but in ST, replicators and medical advances give every
Federation citizen a high quality of life.

Good. Then they'll be healthy when we enslave them. :-)

Actually it is lint speed that is the fastest.

But your ships need to be powered by fear to do it.

I guess that is a kind of Utopia, but Utopia is a myth is does not exist.

The empire has unlimited amounts of fear. Just threaten them with
extermination. Or in the ST case, threaten them with the Borg.

Hmm, interesting plan. The only problem is that, when you got to
where you were going, you'd be too scared to fight.

worp speed is were the worp engine creats a subspace buble aroud the
ship disterding normal space and plunging it in to subspace were if the
traveal at sutane speeds they cover larger area in normal space so that
it seams that the ship is travaling faster than it realy is.
star wars just sends a ship in to light speed and at that speed you see
things differently and is called hyperspace, and when you are at that
speed you can change the space around you to make you go faster or
slower when you are actually going at the same speed just covering more
distance, but in actual fact worp is faster than hyperspace as at worp
10 the object ocupice every part of the univers and you can not do that
with hyperspace.‰

In part of your explanations for both Hyperspace and warp drive, it
sounds very similar when you talk about the covering of more distance.
I guess what I was really looking for here, besides the theories
behind both, was does anyone know at what speeds these two drives are
traveling? Like, do one or both attain light speed? If they do, what
degree of light speed do they travel? I know ST has the Warp 1,2,3,
etc.,etc., Is Warp 1 light speed? If it is, is Warp 2 twice the speed
of light ? Is Hyperspace light speed? And are there different speeds
for Hyperspace? If anybody knows about one or the other please shed
some light on this subject. I'm not asking which is better between the
two for arguments sake. Just want to know the rate of speed.

Sure, if you could go at Warp 10. But you can't. Otherwise, Voyager
would be home by now.
Millenium Falcon has gove at 127 ly/hr
Voyager travels at 8 ly/day(maximum warp according to Chakotay).
