I have been speaking with the Thought Admiral about a big and exciting
(one might even call it harebrained) idea I have that I would like to
share with you....

I want to bring the World Premiere of the new Star Trek XI movie to
Vulcan in December 2008.

The Alberta Film Commission has already offered to bring our proposal
with them to Los Angeles later this fall, so I feel like we have a
foot in the door already.
The angle I am taking in our presentation will be along the lines of:
"Let's bring Spock home to Vulcan for the holidays".

To help add some meat to the proposal, I would like to ask for your
help:
- I'm looking for some great new photos and/or videos from your past
trips to Vulcan and Galaxyfest that we can incorporate into the
proposal. If anyone has digital video and high resolution photos that
you would like us to consider using, please send them to me as soon as
possible.

- I was also hoping to receive letters of support from as many ships
across the country as possible, to help show how well known our little
community is nation-wide. If your ship is willing to lend your
support to our scheme, please email or snail mail your letter (on
letter head if possible) to me at the address below.

Given the timeline I'm working with, I would like to receive your
letters and pictures by no later then October 9... (or sooner if
possible - whhhhhoooooootttttttchhhhh... - that's my famous bull whip
sound effect)
