I would like to invite you to visit http://pennylvania.ufed.org if you are
interested in a quality creative writing role playing environment or just
interested in reading an interesting story concept.
The Pennsylvania is a TNG era role playing game focusing on the aftermath of
the Dominion war. Our story takes place in the Gamma Quadrant and revolves
around the concept of exploration and discovery. In our story line, the
Gamma Quadrant is relatively unexplored. We are assigned the flag ship of a
battle group charged with this exploration. Starbase 214 is re-assembled on
the Gamma side of the Bajorian worm hole and acts as our home port.
Our adventures are new and only just beginning (we've been active for
roughly 16 weeks) and we have a group of highly talented and detail oriented
players.
Our web site, although always being reconstructed or added to, offers an
interactive member feature allowing members to modify their bio information
directly from their members area. Visiting RPG guests may add their link to
our links page (or banner) provided a reciprocal link/banner is placed on
their site. This is all automated and our system searches your site for the
appropriate link/banner upon submission. Once the link is added, your link
will automatically display.
We are a member of the UFED RPG (www.ufed.org) an utilize their free hosting
services; mail list server; and e-mail accounts (ufed.net). UFED's services
are through www.morpheussoft.com.
If you are interested in taking part in our online community, please fill
out an application. Don't concern yourself with whether the manifest shows
an opening. As part of our story development, we often create non-player
characters (NPC) to fill necessary key slots until an active player can be
recruited. Furthermore, players who do not fulfill their active role
requirement are replaced after 2 continuous weeks of unauthorized absence.
So, the manifest may display your area of interest filled while it is
actually available. The Captain or XO will contact you after your
application is submitted to discuss your area(s) of interest.
We offer a trouble-free gaming experience. The UFED doesn't have the
politics of other groups because they keep the games autonomous. Each GM
agree's to follow a basic set of guidelines and is then left to run their
game as they see fit. No status reports or observers. No forced story
lines. Just pure unadulterated fun for all. UFED believes that the GM's
are here to have fun too and I can attest to their determination to keep it
fun for all. What's really nice is that UFED offers (like I mentioned
above) free web space and hosting services, which include MySQL; e-mail;
free from advertising; webmail; mail lists (mailman list server); main web
site banner advertising (your banner rotates on the UFED's main web site);
free group advertisement ( people are specifically recruited to do
advertising as needed); free player placement (UFED has a general
application with your ship listed in its pick list and all applicants who
select your ship are forwarded to you); and a truly fun interaction. Truly,
you can ask any of us (GM's) independently of one another and I'm sure we'd
all tell you the same thing. UFED is one fine group. I've tried others in
the past but have been with UFED for years. UFED is 6 years old this August
5th!
Anyway, enjoy our site and story. It'll be great to see some new faces. :)
