Er, this was in last years' awards--I remember people voting for
it. Are you sure it's eligible for this years'?

Only parts 1-13 were in last years eligibility time period.
Technically, because I pushed the voting back a month, the story was
actually finished before the voting began in March but it is eligible
for this years' awards. Of course, if you don't want to take the
chance that you might not get feedback this time you could withdraw it
from the awards.

Hmmm...okay, as long as its eligible, you may as well leave it in.
Those who voted for it last year need not feel obligated to repeat their
comments. I think this is the only story I've so far posted that sort of
stradled a voting period, so I won't be expecting to hear from the same
people on this one--no point in duplicating one's voting efforts.

Kattz, unless you're limiting your AU category to stories
featuring original characters, I would put this story in that category.

Funny you should mention that. I've restructured how the AU and Event
categories will be handled. I'm going to do them on a referral basis
and that story is one of them.

Total Points for Story
from General Story list:

AD-Visions: Spock's Brain by Rob Morris
Final Judgement by Rob Morris
Final Victory by Gamin Davis

from General Pairing list:

Brilliant Disguise by Roisin Fraser

from Kirk/Spock list:

Folsom Prison Blues by Greywolf the Wanderer
Morning Dew by Greywolf the Wanderer

from Challenge list:

First Love, Last Love by JM Lane
This Tear in MY Hand by Anastasia

from Humor list:

The Golden Boys by Rob Morris

Okay, I was just curious...it seemed to me that that was where this
story belonged.

Can you translate this into non-Award-ese? I'm having trouble
decoding from this exactly *what* changes you've made. Also, how does
it affect the Events category, as I have one story in that one?
BTW, I will be posting at least one more K&S story for that
category (depending on how fast I can get it posted)...please remind me
what day in Feb. the voting starts, so I can get them posted by then.
Thanks...

That means those 3 stories were moved to the General Story category
and any votes for them there will also be a vote for them in the AU
category.

Your story which was on the Event list has been moved to the General
Story category. When I post the checklists Feb 5 I will also include
a list telling where the stories in those categories were moved.

There weren't enough stories in the Event category for a TOS award
which is one reason I decided to try this referral experiment. Also
there is a filk in the challenge category and a referral was the ony
way to have it in both places because each story can only be listed
once during the voting.

After all the votes are counted and tallied I will check to see if any
of the stories on the referred story list received any votes.

You're already too late. The eligibility period for the 2000 Awards
ended January 31st. Anything posted in February goes in the 2001
Awards.

OIC.

Oh, okay.

What the--I thought the eligibility period ran until the voting
started, and the voting wasn't until sometime in Feb.? Boy, am I
confused.

The eligibility period has always ended at the end of January so it is
not necessary to keep adding additional stories into the checklists
that are being prepared for posting. The TOS checklists will be
posted during the night before Feb 5 and TOS voting begins on Feb 12
(ends the midnight between Feb 21 and Feb 22). Besides being posted
to the newsgroup the checklists and votelists will also be posted to
my Award site which has been transformed from egroups to yahoogroups.

OIC...like I said, I'm confused. I was going through my printouts
of the award lists last year, and it looks to me like the voting didn't
take place until March, or maybe I'm confused on that, too (but those
are the dates I have, from Deja, on the comment digests). I'll have to
look and see what you decided to do about the K&S category...although
at least one of my stories in the incomplete category could go there,
if you were satisfied that it was actually complete.

Last year I decided to have a month of checklists in hope of having
all corrections made before the voting. Practically everything is
different than it was last year. This year I had pre-checklists in
January. Voyager's preparation is running slow but otherwise
everything is on track this year and you should be seeing the TOS
checklists sometime Feb 5. There will be a K&S category with 11
stories (6 are yours).

Oh--you mean the one I'm still working on posting? :^) Yeah...but
having posted part 1 already, I figured I may as well post the rest of it.
