5 Freudian Slip by nostalgia
Oh yeah, baby. Bring me that sweet, fucked up Bashir/Ezri, as only nostalgia can
remix it. I suppose Ezri might just be the only person in the universe who can
wake up to her dead lover mouthing the name of her previous incarnation. Just
possibly so. I particularly dig the authorial voice shining through in all it\'s
droll wit. :)

8 Roll Jordan Roll by nostalgia
Possibly my favorite mirror universe fic of all time. I love the subtle
beginning to the fic, so that you don\'t realize it\'s Mirrorverse until the
start of the third paragraph, where everything goes a bit askew. The jealousy
that Mirror!Miles feels for regular Miles is particularly well drawn, and the
conclusion is just a wee bit haunting...

10 The Leopard and the Lamb by Ananke
A hell of a story, that came right out of left field for the Niners. Ananke
brings the damp chill back to darkfic, with this tale of the last moments of
Ezri Dax. Particularly harsh is the fact that the first time I read this, I
didn\'t realize she was dying. Oh, and the final line is really such a surprise.
It totally pulls together the fic, makes all of it suddenly snap together and
become truly frightful.

2 Alterations by T\'Lin
Heh. I like the twist at the end regarding alien genitals. Bashir turning to
Garak with help involving a mission about being surgically altered to look
Cardassian makes great sense.

3 Cry Wolf by Mark Russel Stanley
This has one of the coolest lines ever-- \"I\'ll sleep with you because I want
to, not because I believe you.\" Yes, that\'s the older and wiser Bashir with
Garak, no doubt about it. :-)

4 Flirt by Mark Russel Stanley
I quite appreciate stories in which lust does *not* automatically equate to hot
sweaty sex. Flirtation that deliberately doesn\'t go anywhere is nice too. Since
I\'m much more of a G/B\'er than a B/OB\'er, I appreciated this story a good
bit.

5 Freudian Slip by nostalgia
The sad thing is that Ezri\'s probably right, although she\'s bringing it up at
the wrong time. Nostalgia does a very good job of showing us the moments when
love turns destructive and painful.

How very sad. Both of them are far too accustomed to keeping secrets, and they
both pay for it.
