Hi Regan,

Helmboy's right about the amount of fantastic C/P there is out there available
to you, including her own work which is by far among the finest C/P you will
find. Try popping over to her page
http://members.tripod.com/~Artists_2/Helmboy.html and have a look at what she
has on offer.

Don't give up on Chuckles and Helmboy quite so quickly, they make for some
pretty interesting reading ;oD

I'm curious, what was the story which put you off so badly?

I'll bite- I've read one, it was okay, I havn't really gotten to TNG, After
all I have to try and keep up with Sentinal, Highlander( prefwith Richie),
Star Wars, Due South, and X-files slash( I think thats all of them-oh wait-
Bab5) So I haven't really been branching out to much from DS9 and Voy, trying
to start reading some TOS slash ( though the only charachters I remember
from the re-runs are Kirk Spock and Dr. McCoy) But I'll read it:)

And thanks to everyone who's given me suggestions!:)

Killashandra is an extraordinary slash writer, and her
web page is at: http://members.aol.com/Killasdra/

Her most popular K/S stories are Turning Point/Full Circle
and Surrender. Her page also has several links to other
great K/S writers.

One story I would recommend for the "K/S virgin", at least
if you like a good SF story and not just romance and hot
sex (although that's in there, too) is Improvisation by Ruth
Gifford and Varoneeka at:
http://members.tripod.com/~Varoneeka/ruthvee.htm

They have also written a number of great P/Q stories.
Love Reign Over Me is wonderful, and you don't have
to remember all the TNG episodes by heart to enjoy it.

Welcome aboard!

What you have to look forward to! Killashandra, known as Killa, is the
author of some K/S that is regarded as very very good by a lot of Treksmut
fen here, including me. She wrote Turning Point, which is a beautiful
starting point (I didn't mean that pun) for K/S. Full Circle is a sequel
to Turning Point, Bitter Glass is very long, very angsty and very
rewarding and Surrender is a little of a surprise unless you're used to
BDSM.

>From your posts, I see that you're trying not to get into P/Q just yet,
because of your other fandoms, but sooner or later, I hope you'll read
_His Beloved Pet_ by Ruth Gifford and Atara Stein, and _My Fair Jeanne_,
also by Ruth Gifford. Those are favourites.

Also, this URL may prove useful, if you don't already have it:
http://members.aol.com/~ksnicholas/fanfic/slash.html . She's recently
updated it, and Killa's page, among others, is on there. If you read
Highlander, you might have read Killa already.

And for P/K I recommend http://www.trekslash.mb.ca . That is R'Rain's
Slash Archive, and her P/Ks are truly incredible (also delicious).

Welcome. Isn't it great? I did that too (except for having read all the
good books: the key is to belong to more libaries than you can possibly
expend at one time, and rotate).
<Katisha just notices that she's delurking, herself. Oh well, at least

understand that last bit, I was not offering you offense if you don't know
me, I was proclaiming my membership in a mailing list called Fuh-Q).

Tuppertrek is a term used for ST fanfic that portrays the guys as
romance-novel type characters, the feminized guys or other things of that
sort that squick many of us. Many stories portray Spock as ineffectual, as
the 'little woman' character, until Kirk rides in on his white horse and
saves him. etc.

Tuppertrek is also the term for some of the parodies of the above type of
story that several of us have written (not just me, really).

The term is fairly new having been coined, to the best of my memory, in the
Spring of 1999, sometime after I posted "A Printfan's Nightmare," a parody
of some of the worst of the Tuppertrek.

Hey, Kaki, just out of morbid curiosity, is there someplace where one
can
find a Tuppertrek archive? Well, no, not entirely out of morbid curiosity,
I guess. My roommate writes romance (hurty, angsty, questy romance with
elves and wizards, but still, romance), and I need to build up a tolerance.
Sigh. So… is there such a place? And if so (gulp), where?

*knock knock*
Sileya looks up from her desk covered with 8 1/2 x 11 glossies of the latest
Xena/Voyager crossover music video to see Uhura standing inside the doorway
of her office. Hawaiian music streams in from the steel drum band playing
for the hula classes just outside in the cabana. Life as usual in the Comm
Center at TSU.

"Come on in, Nyota."

"Sure, Sil. Admin just sent over this missive. Something important, it's
locked and eveything." Uhura hands Sil the padd.

Sil hmmms and starts punching in numbers. After four tries and some
grumbling it beeps happily and scrolls away.

"Professor Thun, it is our pleasure to announce to you that your request for
the building grant has been granted. In fact, since your institution seems
such a grand place, we've awarded you the whole amount of....(gulp) 10
million credits!?!?"
Sil goggles at the amount.

Uhura grins and applauds. "Congrats - I guess all the work you did on that
grant request paid off."

Sil takes a breath after scanning through President Gifford's addendum, then
giggles. And giggles some more. Then giggles again.

Uhura blinks. "Sil?"

"Nyota, (giggle) you'll never guess (snort) what the Prez just ear (choke)
marked this money for..."

Uhura raises an eyebrow, looking somewhat like a tall gentleman sometimes
seen in her company.

"The TrekSmut University Tuppertrek Insanity Wing!"

For the real thing (the ones written to be regular stories), you'll just have
to
scrounge.

For the parodies, you could try dejanews as I don't think they've made it to
the
archive yet.

Since I don't have a web page (yet, I hope), the only one of mine that is on a
site is at
http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/Workshop/8831/printfan.html (thank you Karmen)
It
is "A Printfan's Nightmare."

Any one else?

Dammit, Jen, this is serious! We're in the same creative writing class
*and* the same writing club (her idea) *and* I have to live with 'er *and*
she LOOOVES to read her work aloud. One of her ouvres starts out along the
lines of, 'I lurked in the darkened room with an obsidian stake, letting the
hours creep by as I waited for the opportunity to kill my paramour.' I'm in
