USS Stargazer IRC Simulation looking for new members

I'm Captain Damien Korczynski, Commanding Officer of the USS
Stargazer. On behalf of my Executive Officer, Commander Jules Hui and
the crew of the Stargazer, I would like to welcome you to the ship.
The purpose of this message is to give you a few details about the
Stargazer.
Our simulation has a distinguished history, having continuously run
for over two years. It began in 1999 as the USS Sentinel, a Defiant
class vessel, in the UCIP organisation. The crew moved to the Intrepid
class USS Stargazer six months later, and has been simming as part of
The Sixth Fleet since the beginning of 2001. In that time the ship has
won the Fleet Unit Citation (UCIP) twice, the Horizon Award (UCIP), as
well as numerous individual citations for excellence.
The Stargazer simulation is on the Starchat IRC network, and starts at
Sunday, 3am Eastern Standard Time/9 am GMT in the channel
#USS-Stargazer. You are expected to arrive at least five minutes
before the commencement of the simulation, in order to meet the crew
and so as not to delay the briefing If you have any questions there
will be a specific time after the briefing and before the simulation
starts to ask them. During the simulation if you are unsure about
anything, please contact your Department Chief. If it is
then required, they will raise the issue with the Executive Officer,
who may then escalate the issue to me. Remember that the STTSF
Handbook is an invaluable guide and should be thoroughly read before
your first simulation and reviewed afterwards.
Once you have taken part in your first simulation, I will add you to
the ship's mailing list. From there you will receive weekly reports on
the simulation, as well as email logs and OOC briefings on matters
related to the Stargazer. Although email logging is not required, it
is encouraged, as the logs give the crew a greater insight into your
character.
