Scene: Kappa Holodeck 25 (Sandy Beach - Crossroad to many settings)

The beach guests just watched as the pirate ship sails unfurled and began to
billow with the breeze. Firnewood's cry for help could no longer be heard
above the splashing of the waves against the sand.

"Captain! We have to do something!" Glaade begged Whitetip for guidance.
Whitetip just stood there grinning, his arms still outstretched in the gesture
of offering the island to the guests.

"The Bloody Barbarian" Kennsington said. "Alrighty then" He drew his
broadsword and shouted to nobody in particular "Man the Catapults, Arm the
Ballista".

At this command a new sound sprung up behind the guests. They all turned to
see what it was. Thirty men dresses in chainmail were pulling on ropes -
dragging two large siege weapons down to the sands. The giant wooden
structures creaked and groaned as the men pulled in unison.

One machine was a Ballista, a giant crossbow. It two was cocked and ready to
fire it's tree sized arrow shaped projectile. The arrow was sporting a barbed
grapple shaped head - designed to tear and bring down a ship's sail causing her
to flounder.

The other machine was a Catapult with its thick casting arm bent back and held
in place with restraining ropes. Several head sized rocks were cradled in a
basket at the end of the arm. This weapon was designed to punch holes in the
ships hull causing her to sink.

The siege machines were brought to a stop just before packed earth turned into
sandy shore - for surely the narrow wheels of these weapons would sink into the
soft sand rendering then useless.

The men shouted commands to eachother as they aimed the giant weapons at the
pirate ship which was just now starting to creep out to sea. Stakes were
hammered into the ground and the machines were tied down to them. "Fire!"
shouted Kennsington and the two machines were jolted back but restrained by the
ropes.

The Catapult rocks fell short but the Ballista arrow found it's mark and rended
a large hole in the Jib. The ships Jib was mainly to assist in steering and
since the ship had already come-about it was of little consequence to the
escaping pirate. The Mainsail billowed and the ship picked up speed.

"Reload!" Kennsington shouted.

"Don't bother" Taylor said to Kennsington. Then speaking to nobody in
particular he shouted "Radio!"

Out of the dunes a German officer ran carrying a portable field radio. The
officer dropped the box at Taylor's feet, handed him the handset and then gave
the crank on the box a few turns.

Taylor triggered the handset and then said "Send my dingy and fire up the
engines - we are getting underway".

Within seconds the hatch on the top of the submarine opened and German solders
came out. They case an inflatable raft into the water and jumped in to
retrieve their captain.

"You all are nuts" Drunn said. I'll take care of this. Drunn turned and
started up the path behind him.

"Where are you going?" Glaade asked.

"If this sign in correct - Starbase Kappa is up that road. I'll just use their
transporters and beam Firenwood back to the beach." Drunn said.

"Dresses like that - you won't get within a mile of Kappa" Glaade said pointing
out the Borg costume.

"Fine - then I will need some help. Are you coming?"

"Umm" Glaade looked at Whitetip who's only movement change since their arrival
was with widening of his grin. "Oh - all right" Glaade said and went to join
Drunn.

"How about you Gently?" Drunn asked.

With a sigh Gently said "I think I'll muster my own troops". Then speaking to
nobody in particular he said "Bartender - a Banana Daiquiri" Gently flopped
himself down onto a lounge chair and a bartender appeared with his drink.
