Sunderland
A184 heading west from Testos Roundabout. Take first turning on left down
country lane. Used mainly by gays, but some doggers. Flash brake lights for
action

http://www.swingingheaven.co.uk/dogging/locations/durham-dogging.html

You only have to take a quick look at the Dogging Forum to see how many
people are actively out there dogging, or at least curious enough to want to
learn more. Some wonder what all this dogging is about, and if there are any
'rules' of dogging they should know about.
Well, here goes. We're going to try to explain it as far as we know as we've
not got much experience in these matters. Any other more knowledgeable
doggers please do contact us to change or add to any of the following.
Usually you have a situation where couples are in or around their cars,
having fun for all the voyeurs who've turned up to see. Sometimes these
voyeurs are asked to join in.
Only join in or move closer if you are asked, or if you see the interior
lights of the car flashing (a signal to move closer as the couple want
voyeurs to watch or perhaps even join in).
Before going to a dogging location make sure you:-
Go prepared for safe sex
Use our Forum or dogging photo ads section to arrange a meet to make sure
plenty turn up!
Ascertain that particular spot is for you - is it mainly couples to watch or
is it some gay action you're after?
Most of all, make sure everyone is happy and having fun.
On a legal note, please be aware that you have to be careful. This is the
current situation in the UK as far as we know:-
"There are laws that protect members of the public from being unwilling
witnesses to sexual behaviour or from being harassed or intimidated in their
use of public spaces or facilities. So sex in public toilets, parks or
places where other passers-by may be offended is illegal."

Washington.
Bishop Auckland
Over the Viaduct towards Crook there is a small carp-ark on the right, along
with a picnic area and old railway (walkway). Dogging action after dark.
Crook
Picnic area on A68 near to Crook with 24 hour toilets. Lots of wooded areas,
popular with both the gay community and doggers.
Darlington
On the A66, eastbound from Darlington towards Stockton. A long layby, set
back from road, about half way between Darlington and Stockton. Late nights
around 11.30, various activity including male/female couples.
The lay-by at Swan House in Darlington is located about one and a half along
the Darlington to Corbridge road and is surrounded by trees. There is a
secluded path leading away from the area, and this is where the dogging
action takes place. The site is also used by the local gay community.
Newton Aycliffe
South of Newton Aycliffe on the A68 towards Corbridge. A layby just past the
Caravan Dealers on the left. It's surrounded by trees with lots of dogging
activity with couples and singles. Especially at the weekend.
Rushyford
Off the A1 take the A689 exit to Rushyford, south of Durham. Before the
roundabout is a long lay-by behind trees. Gay area but known for dogging
couples as well.
Update: We've been told that this layby is now closed - anyone care to
verify this, so we can remove this dogging site from here?
Seaham
Seaham car-park on the sea front next to Seaham Hall gates and on the coast
road towards Ryhope next to the railway.
Sedgefield
Come off the A19 and follow towards Sedgefield Racecoures. Take a right at
the round about and you'll end up at Hardwick Hall. Best between 7pm and 2am
for couples.

Yes, he's on the Sky News website as well with this. Telling the world
he's feeling guilty about it all. Guilty my arse ! He should be bloody man
enough to admit that one simply cannot make the same "mistake" 15 odd times
and NOT enjoy it ! The only thing he regrets is to have been found out !!

By the way, I'm not having a pop at dogging at all, in fact I reckon sex
in public should be a human right.

Oh dear, I regularly take the wife and kids there on Summer evenings. I
wondered why so many people tend to stay in their cars.

Alex, you might be interested to know that the UK's horrible, authoritarian
government proposed a bill to make it a criminal offence with, IIRC, SIX
MONTHS in prison to have sex in a public place where members of the public
might find you 'at it'. IOW if you aren't in a locked toilet cubicle, say on
a beach or in a wood, you could 'go down' (pun intended!)

I don't condone sex in shopping centres etc but it means if you find a
deserted beach somewhere and get down to it you could serve time. I'm very
suspicious of any government introducing laws like that. Depriving a person
of their liberty for an act of love is a disgusting law. I'm uncertain
whether it became law or not but it wouldn't surprise me.

And no-one is complaining about this ?
My name would be first up on the protest sheets !

But don't get me wrong, we don't have people shagging all over the place
here all the time (Scandinavian Winters can be a tad cold) but if we would
be banged up in prison for six months for being a liberated nation then
there would be no room for the real criminals at all. We would simply run
out of prisons ! Frisky or not, sex in public should not be against the law,
surely.

That's middle-class Brits for you. They are quite happy to see anything
*they* don't do personally banned for other people. This is just the tip of
the iceberg. Brits will happily give up their civil liberties without a
whimper- just watch Britain over the next 5 years or so.

I'm not planning on behaving badly when I'm in the area but if that was to
happen and I then get caught and dragged away and procecuted, I will bloody
take Tony Blair and his entire staff to the Court of Human Rights and fight

Yes it does seem to me your ruling party comes up with weird stuff on a
regular basis these days... I still don't understand the one about smoking
but hey. I mean, how can they consider banning people from having a quiet
fag in a public place and then turn around and almost legalize smoking a
joint ? I may be blue-eyed and formerly blond but the logic behind that goes
right over my head, I'm afraid.

Radio 5 Live bosses today distanced themselves from football pundit Stan
Collymore following tabloid allegations about his private life, saying they
have "no plans to use him in the near future".
The former Liverpool and England striker faces being frozen out of the
station after he admitted trawling car parks looking for sex with strangers.

Collymore has become a familiar voice on Radio 5 since retiring early from
the game, hosting football phone-ins, offering expert analysis on matches
and appearing on Johnny Vaughan's Saturday morning panel game, Fighting
Talk.

The station refused to comment specifically on the nature of today's
allegations, but station insiders said there was "no urgency" to have him
back.

In a statement, Radio 5 said: "Stan Collymore has been used occasionally on
a freelance basis by Radio 5 Live as a contributor. He does not have a
contract with the BBC and we have no plans to use him in the near future

I suspect that there are an awful lot of soon to be criminals about then.
Personally hte idea of driving to a carpark full of exhibitionists is not my
idea of fun - but ffs, if people are into it, where's the harm? Put aside
legal shagging areas, knobbing equivalent of nudist beaches, what's the
problem? Apart from that - I'm sure that quite a few have indulged in a bit
of imprompreu al-fresco - so long as it's discreet, or after kids are in
bed - fine. Why should a potential criminal record be based upon whether I
happen upon someone or some loony 'Christian' bigot?

I would suspect that the middle classes are at least as keen on a knee
trembler as anyone. Probably just a bit circumspect about being seen on TV
at the protest.
