Chelsea 3 Brighton 2
Three points and a much needed win. Typically though, Chelsea made
hard work of it. Going down to ten men (again) and conceding goals at
the end of both half's as their legs got tired... and turning a match
that they were looking fairly comfortable in to a backs to the wall
holding-on performance.
Not sure why Pochettino keeps giving the captain's armband to
youngsters, James last week and Gallagher this week both getting sent
off for picking up two Yellows. Captain's should be a bit more
reserved, especially once they have a yellow card. Thiago Silva seems
a much more organised head for that role. He certainly marshalled the
troops over the line at the end of this very tough game. A proper
leader.
Still, it was nice to get the win... Chelsea's first win in the
Premier League at Stamford Bridge since the Luton game in August.
