Luton 2 Chelsea 3

Well, that ending was different... but with Chelsea probably not
completely unexpected.

If I was writing this post on 80 minutes, with Chelsea leading 3-0, I
would have been glowing about how well Chelsea played and how this
was a comfortable win...but of course it wasn't. Luton's two late
goals put the pressure on Chelsea's wobbly defending and in the end
it was a victory but it was anything but easy. Still, three points is
three points, and back to back wins in the Premier League is
hopefully a sign of some green shoots of recovery...

Once again Cole Palmer starred, with two goals and an assist, Noni
Madueke had a good game too and he got the other goal. These
youngsters do have promise and it will take time, but a better - as
in more solid - CB is definitely needed long term, as well as an out
and out goal scorer.

Chelsea sign off a poor 2023 with a win and hopefully 2024 brings
some better days.
