Manchester City 1 Chelsea 1

Wow! Chelsea nearly pulled off the shock of the weekend. In fact,
with some better finishing they could have beaten Man City. We'd
have taken a 1-1 draw before kick-off though, so I am still happy
with the point. Yes it could have been better, but Chelsea played
really well at the Etihad so 'claps' all round for their
performance today. Even at the end they showed great resilience to
hold on as City pushed for the winner. So they can do it if they put
their minds to it!!!!

Chelsea have played Manchester City twice this season and got two
draws, scoring five goals and conceding five goals... so progress
has been made in some quarters. There's still work to do at the back
though. The main problem with Chelsea this season is consistency, so
hopefully this performance helps build momentum for the League Cup
Final next weekend. (Which, like today, nobody is giving Chelsea a
chance in.)
