Chelsea 2 Sheffield Utd 0
A poor first half performance was countered with a more up tempo
start to the second half that saw two Chelsea goals to take the sour
look off of Mauricio Pochettino's face. (He was looking fairly
unimpressed on the sidelines during the first half. Probably thinking
WTF have I got myself in to!) It wasn't thrilling but in the end it
was fairly routine.
So another much needed win, although Chelsea are nowhere near where
they should be at this stage of the season but those three points
definitely helped, even if the performance wasn't that great.
Nkunku didn't get on the pitch, which upset Mrs Blueshirt as she
brought him into her FPL team to replace Haaland. (She's very
optimistic!) Maybe at 2-0 he should have been given a run out as
Jackson had got his goal and Chelsea were looking comfortable. A
clean sheet is good for the confidence too.
