Arsenal could do with buying Djorkaeff. He wants to leave, and he could
fill
in upfront or in midfield. Anyone else we should buy?

I'd still like to see R. De Boer at Highbury next year. We still have
far from adequate coverage for the right midfield slot. Without
Parlour in the last two games we may well lose our shape and come
unstuck, especially against Leeds.

Parlour so often gets the ball on the edge of our are and breaks
promisingly, relieving the pressure. We need adequate cover.

I'd also like to see one of Seedorf or Davids, but that's not likely
and Vivas is improving anyway.

The thing is Roland de Boer would demand first team football, so where
would Parlour fit in then. I agree that we need cover on the right
midfield side especially. But i just cant see the afore mentioned
players such as Seedorf, Djorkaeff willing to come to Highbury without
guaranteed first team football. Again where would that leave Vieira,
Petit? I think someone like Nakata from Perugia would fit the bill as
cover for the centre of midfield as inevitably Petit and Vieria will be
suspended at some time next season. But for the right side of midfield,
i cant really think of anyone, any ideas?
Does anyone reckon that Stephen Hughes is going up north now?

Sadly I think you are right, how difficult it is! Let's face it,
Blomqvist is hardly cover for Giggs (although defensively he is much
stronger) and they have no real replacement for Beckham. For all the
talk of their strength in depth, I think they are much less without
Beckham, Giggs, Keane or Schmeichel.

It's the same problem, how can you sign a top quality player and ask
him to sit on the bench?

I suppose we should keep working with Ljunberg to some degree, He can
do it at international level, but needs to improve his work rate. Boa
Morte has improved a lot in the last year and particularly in terms of
work rate, Parlour's greatest strength.

Yes, I think Hughes will leave. As much as I like his passing ability,
he always seems a yard of the pace to me. What do you think? Does he
just lack first team football though?

Can't comment on Nakata as I know little or nothing about him.

How about Sol Cambell from Spurs ????

What a defence we got now but we do need to get other players in there then
the mighty arsenal defence will be around forever...

But then again, that's italy and this is enland and if kanu did crap in
italy and he's cainig it here then so can Djorkaeff.

Actually, lets buy the whole french national squad.

Kanu was not crap in Italy, He just never got the opportunity to play and
show what he could do.

I reckon Stephen Hughes will leave in the summer, making way for
Vernazza. You've already said the perfect replacement/backup for
parlour. Nakata is right footed and he does play on the right for Japan
quite regularly, he is more attack minded than Ray and would perhaps
make a better attacking balance with Overmars on the left.

>IMOH Djorkaeff would be a poor buy. He rarely scores, misses lots of good
chances in Seria A and would be no improvement on the players there now. He
would not be happy as a squad player.

The team could do with a creative midfielder but there do not appear to be
any about. Zidane would be ideal but I can't see him coming to London.
