Have pondered this question since his inception 6+ years back. Have given
serious consideration to Junior's next door neighbor Tom. I know it's not
Gordo. Or Is It????????????

Mavis Foolery, to hear Coach tell it.

if it's not Gordo, why does he replay Tom Foolery bits on the Rant?
Think about it> Gordo plays Gordo's bits on the Rant....Food for
thought.

No, it's not Gordo. I've often heard Gordo participate in the Tom
Foolery segments where they speak at the same time. Also, Gordo plays
all kinds of non-Gordo bits on The Rant.

It is definitely not Gordo. I was in San Antonio a couple of years ago and
watching the news on their NBC affiliate. During the sportscast, they had an
editorial from "Coach Tom Foolery". He appeared to be about 40 - 45 years
old, and he was giving some insights on the high school football rivalries in
the area slated for that weekend. He had the exact same voice and
mannerisms, and he was dressed as a coach (cap, whistle), while standing next
to a goal post on a football field.

Based on that, and my prior post that Tom Foolery is a college
friend of D&M...I think that this may be our guy:

It's not Gordo. Coach Tom doesn't take vacations at the same time as
Gordo as opposed to all of his other regular characters if you've ever
noticed. Also the voice cadence and timing isn't like Gordo. I can
pretty much tell who Gordo does and Coach Tom isn't one of them.

If this is the guy I saw on that sportscast, they did a hell of a makeup job on
him.

Check out the guy who does traffic for the wolf--99.5. He sounds just like
Tom Foolery.

Funny you should say that. My wife was telling me that the guy who
does traffic on KLIF (another Susquehanna sation) sounds exactly like
Tom Foolery. So this morning I switched over, and there he was. His
name is Justin Frizzell (sp.?) and he does sound exactly like Coach.
The only thing I can't reconcile is that Justin was clearly in a
helicopter when he was reporting traffic, and then 5 minutes later the
Tom Foolery segment played live on the Ticket. Who knows, but ol'
Justin really sounds like him.
