He played for Frölunda (my local team) in the Swedish Elite League during
the late 80s. I think between 1987 and 1989. Then he went on to the first
division in Sweden where he played for Örebro, but left the team after only
half a season to go to Germany for the rest of the year (not sure why).
In 1990 he was back in the Swedish first division playing for Uppsala and he
stayed there for 2 seasons before moving to Murray Racers in the British
league. He was awesome for Murray (59 goals in 32 games) but seems to have
quit after that year. According to the stats I found, he hasn't played a
game since 1993.
I know him, not personally. Born in my home town of Port Alberni,
Couple years ahead of me in school. Was much more interested in
getting an education than hockey, If I remember correctly he turned
down a contract initially from Montreal to go to college.
Which probably explains his lack of success in the NHL. If you don't
have that drive to be in the show, you're probably not going to make
it.
