What the lying asshole counted on was short memories. Gillis was perfectly
happy with V's coaching until ticket demand dropped, tv and radio ratings
fell, empty seats in the building, concession and merchandize sales dropped,
and fans were bored out of their skulls. Then, and only then, did he reveal
his " plan " was always to play up-tempo attacking hockey, and V better
change his damn ways, cause he doesn't like the type of hockey they were
playing eh.
