OT: Roger Waters

....I'm going tommorrow night but unfortunatley bought my tix awhile ago at
TM....show didn;t sell out and there's a shitload of them for sale below
cost on CL....prolly even better bargains tommorrow I would think down at
B.C place...

....thought I'd pass it on in case of any of my fellow NG old farts are
lookng for a blast from the past at affordable middle aged prices....

saw an interview with Waters on "60 Minutes", and the show
looks pretty spectacular.

1) Iphone with full charge!
2) bic lighter for encore...no wait!...have iphone flashlight app!
3) sensible shoes!...with socks!...sandals?...nope, better go with the
Nikes...might be a long walk from parking.
4) fanny pack/wallet/cash/credit cards/bankcard/DL/etc/etc/etc
5) tums (may get a bad hot dog or something)
6) plastic mickey of vodka/club soda (carefully measured ratio of 4:1, in
favour of club soda, not vodka.....not anymore)
7) light hoody for after show (might be chilly!)

...I think thats it!.....Rock n' Roll!

Hehehe....doesn't sound like the checklist of teen-concerts-past eh Dean? Tix, ride and doobs and/or... for many back then, probably.

What an epic show it was on Saturday night! You can almost re-live it...there are more than one full show vids in HD on YouTube.

....unbeleivable!....the production, the sound, the choreography....it was
about as close to perfect as perfect gets!....the only thing that could have
made it better was if they had the damn roof open....beautiful evening like
that!.....Im thinking part of the reason for that is a deal with the
surrounding community banning open air concerts. If not I want an inquiry!

...other than that, and cheaping out and not kicking another 20 bucks or
whatever and getting club seats like my kid brother so I could have my own
semi-private bar and bathroom it truly was a remarkable experience...

..as an aside I hope it wasn;t just Rogers attention to detail that produced
the much improved acoustics and now its safe to go back to BC place for a
show. I don;t go to many big stadium shows anymore but the few Ive been to
over the years at the dome I may as well have had my head in a tin
can...terrible...

I thought my concert days were over too but couldnt resist one more
Bruce Springsteen concert at the then Garage.
My wife said that it took two songs and I was out of my seat and by
Born to Run, I was standing on my chair singing along
(yeah sure, "tramps like us", more like 55 year old mid level
executive instead)
