Hey all,

I probably haven't posted here in 15+ years. Hi! I think there's a few older members still kicking around who knew Daren Barefoot (db). I thought you'd want to hear the news he passed away and the very nice last message he left for the world.

First, thank you for sharing that link. I remember Darren but he was not
known as "db" in this newsgroup. I have not heard from db for several
years now but I believe he is still with us.

I wish I could write a similar document when my time comes.

My memory may have failed me. I think db was first and then changed his
nick to theoriginaldb after Darren started posting.

Sad stuff, nice and very smart guy! And my wife has the same cancer
and is in her final few days unfortunately... Appendix cancer... Who
knew? Very sad times...
