Very nice hilite man. Did you capture McLean's stacker by any chance?

The Bure goal was, of course, very cool. That McLean stop, however,
is simply the most incredible save I have ever seen in hockey, bar
none. Watch it again at full speed -- there is no way he should have
made that stop. Not even close. That puck should have been in the
back of the net before McLean was half way there.
What is more amazing about it is that it wasn't an acrobatic, fluky,
flopping-around-like-a-fish save. This was a technically perfect,
stack-the-pads-and-get-across stop, just like they teach you at goalie
school. The only difference here is that he stopped two of the best
players in the world, executing a two on one to perfection. When I
think of Kirk McLean, this moment is always the first thing I think
of.
Thinking about all his injuries these days, you have to agree that we had
him for the best of his years!
"Our media up here is totally left wing," he said.
"It's socialist, left wing, pinko, commies."
Mr. Cherry then went on to sing a rousing rendition of 'Those Were The Days'
with actress Jean Stapleton.

That's the first for me too, but a close second is the play against
Taranna (I think) when he was on his way to the bench with the Canucks
down a goal near the end of a game, but then turned around and made a
fantastic diving stick check on one of the Leaves who was well on his
way to scoring on the empty net.

I'm starting a collection for the likes of Stockwell Day and Stephen
Harper. If they want to fight a war, lets see them walk the walk...
instead of sending some poor undertrained, underequipped Canadian Army
kid. Seriously, I doubt if these politicians who are so hungry for war
have the GUTS to go themselves. They are always keen on volunteering
other peoples kids. Are you listening, Dubya? Cherry?

Izzy Asper is left wing??

Absolutely. We hear all the time, " GREAT SAVE ! ", when the puck
is shot into a goalie as opposed to the goalie initiating the save.
But Kirk's save was proactive, it was flat out robbery.

For the Godless socialists out there : " Then you will know the truth,
and the truth will set you free."
We all thought Jim had incorrectly written John rather than Don and that
the numbers represented Cherry's mental age and IQ.
