Why'd he drop to 27?
Sounds promising, but then don't they all at this point?

"He came to me, smellin' of roadhouse whiskey, and he took me, and I liked
it. And then....YOU were born!"
13th among North American prospects. There were a few Euros that went in
the first round.

At least seven before Philadelphia picked.
Plus a couple of goalies.
And something tells me that if Adrian Foster overcomes his injury and
develops well for NJ, ppl will blame Clarke for not having the vision to
have taken him; but if he had picked Foster, we'd have had two years of
blasting him for it.

Ya can't win.
13th is just North American skaters, you have to add in European skaters
and all goalies as well. He went pretty close once you do that.
You also have to remember that CSB is only one group of scouts' opinions
and they happen to make their rankings public. The teams do their own
scouting and their scouts may have different opinions of players than
CSB does. CSB also pays no attention to intangibles such as attitude
or off-ice behaviour, they are strictly on-ice performance. The teams
themselves may be a bit more concerned about not drafting a guy who will
have eight kids and seven wives in six states and be doing 15-to-life
when he's 30. (although the NBA teams put a premium on those types)
Myself, I have seen Woywitka about 15 times in the last two years and
I still don't get all the fuss about him. He is a pretty good defenceman
but is only the 4th best draft prospect on that team IMO. He was the
2nd one picked....I like both Doug Lynch and Kyle Wanvig more and they
were both 2nd rounders. But that's just my opinion and remember I
thought Jeff Feniak was a good pick for you guys two years ago too...
