Slumping attendance despite relatively low ticket prices, in the second
biggest city in Canada, and with the only NHL team in Quebec?

Chalk it up to almost a decade of mismanagement.

Corey and his minions blew a great situation and turned a powerful
organisation into a laughing stock.

I'm even hearing tales now of how Leafs fans show up in big numbers at
other Canadian teams' home games.

Up until recently, it was always Habs fans that showed up in large numbers
across Canada.

The only way out I can see is to aggressively pursue a couple of real
top-line players, along with a dominating playmaking defenceman. We don't
have any now.

By the way, Recchi had a hat trick tonight, and Damphousse had two goals.
