Hello fellow hockey fans:
This may be a great day in our news group history. I'll admit that I
don't read all the hockey news groups, but I'm sure others are getting
as much sex this and sex that as the ones I read. And of course all
these posts are in html format with some of the most unexciting and
quite frankly, silly pictures I've ever seen. If that is what these 18
and over sites consist of, thank God I steer away from them. If you
don't have a html capable email reader like Netscape, consider yourself
lucky when you see %$#!@@$#__!&*$#%^#^%@$ because that is one nasty
female. If any of the pictured so called dogs -er I mean ladies read
these groups, you are some of the most ugliest people I've ever seen.
Were your parents carnies at the local county fair? You would do us all
a favor if you were clothed, or we were blind. What the perverts post is
so disgusting that it makes me physically ill. They have come into a
place where we fans of hockey have a common interest. They have come
into a place where our children read, post and learn. They have come
into a place where they hide and shatter our faith in the good and
decency of people. If they think that their posts are beautiful and our
posts are simply boring hockey stuff, then they will never know what
beauty is. The sick small minded perverts will never know what love is.
The indecent mammals will never be able to look in the mirror and
believe in anything good again. Because they have invaded our world and
carelessly walked into what we believe in and thrown their trash onto
our floor, they will quickly learn that we have had enough. Now don't
get me wrong, I'm for free speech and all that jazz. However, there are
special news groups set up for their so called excitement. There are
special places for them. Do you realize that. There are designated
places for their kind. Like prison. So why don't they post to places and
get excited by things they will never meet, know, or connect with? I
don't know. But since they put bogus eMail addresses on their posts and
anything we send to them gets bounced back, I've decide to find out who
they are or at least the people who gives them access to the net.
Most of the filth seems to come from perverts with dial-up access to

This is a great idea. Only one problem with it: you won't stop them
because most of the people that do NGs are males 18-54 and you are their
prime target demographic. If they only get one of you then they can say
that their campaign was a sucess. Also the fact that these things are
originating in The Netherlands in no suprise, Holland has no problem
with sexual pix ect. The only way to have a NG with none of the garbage
is to have a list serve like the Dallas Stars do. You have to subscribe
and adhere to the rules if you don't they won't let you post. It's a
good way to do things.

Well there are such things as untracable e-mail bombs. Send these
spammers one and they'll be out of business for months.
I'd be more then willing to direct interested parties to a web site
where they could get one to their liking :)

got to the any of the net abuse newsgroups and join in.
news.admin.net-abuse.usenet is a good place to fight usenet spam.
There are a lot of people that are actively fighting and believe it or
not they are making a difference.

of people like. If people want urls to learn how to fight spam I got
those,too. Then I know where to find untraceable mail bombs but, they
are for educational purposes only :)

The best way is to just selectively ignore the crap.
Some newsreaders can filter out unwanted articles by means of
keywords. Stuff like "nude," "slut," "xxx," and anything else you
don't figure you'll ever want to see on the Usenet.

The worst spam is spam from hockey fans. I don't give a shit about
expansion while I'm in the Sabres NG, except how it affects the Sabres.
I don't give a shit that Gretzky is better than Lemieux while I'm in the
Sabres NG. If I wanted to see this crap, I'd go into
alt.sports.hockey.nhl.chat or something. This is the worst spam:

Again, a decent newsreader is the solution. I'm using Agent, which
cost me about $30. When I see another Thread From Hell, I just toggle
it to "ignore", and as far as I'm concerned, the thread disappears.
It was, IMHO, more than worth the money just to have that feature
(and, of course, you get filters, killfiles, etc).
