Brandon Bollig was traded. Perhaps he was a great kid, but not
a great player. He seemed to be a weak link in the chain during
the playoffs and didn't get a lot of playing time. NBC News
indicated he had just bought a condo in River North so that
sucks, but hopefully he'll be able to break even on a sale.
So did Sharpie's agent grease the rails for Patrick's ride out of
town? I'd sure hate to see him go as he's been an excellent
player and a very classy guy.
As for Toews and Kane, maybe someone should explain to them that
the amount of money paid to them directly affects the quality of
the team. It's a hard cap guys. If you are being paid
$12,000,000, then that leaves about $40,000,000 for the rest of
the roster. That means guys like Bollig and Sharp and maybe
Seabrook have to go. And the guys taking their places may not be
as good (well, not so much with Bollig). You guys should already
be set for life.
