Im from Montréal and the rumors about Richer sexual orientation ase always been a mystery for
us fan's of the Montréal Canadien. I new a few years ago a girl that new him. Apparently he
was sharring a house whit a other guy. In other words, a guy was living whit him in is house.
Were they only good friend's and sharring a house our was there more to it?

Here in Montréal the rumor was alway's alive and it still is, and it still a mystery.

What the fuck is wrong with you people? Why does it matter if Stephane
Richer is gay or straight? He is a great hockey player, and that is all
that matters!

Wow.. a 25 year old thread... I just had to reply something:

Stephane Richer was an amazing goal scorer. Did it twice for the Habs under lots of pressure.

No, he is not gay. He is married to Leisa Guévremont. They talk to others about depression together. They played golf back in the day when Richer owned his own Golf Course. Stephane plays for the Montreal Canadiens Alumni Hockey Team. His wife is also his business partner. If you search for "Leisa Guévremont" it automatically indicates that she is Richer's wife. You will also notice many photos of the couple together. I'm pretty sure they've been married for over 20 years and Stephane himself, has been retired since 2002 from the NHL. Richer scored 50 goals twice, won the Stanley Cup twice and played in 1,054 games - scoring 421 goals & 398 assists, 819 points. He also scored 53 career playoff goals. As far as gay? Definitely not.
