Heh have you guys seen the ads for the new movie "Shallow Hal" (I
believe that is the title)?? There is a scene in which the lead actor
is standing with a guy who has got to be Lyndon Byers, sure looks like
him anyway. Perhaps you New Englanders would know? LB does a morning
show for a Boston FM station? Right? "Shallow Hal" looks like a
Farrelly (sp?) brothers movie, that would explain LB's new found
stardom. Is Neely in this one aswell? Anybody got any idea?

Thanks FB
p.s. Sorry don't mean to turn the group into "Entertainment Tonight"
LOL

Is this a Farrelly Brothers movie ?

Cam Neely was in Dumb and Dumber, plus Me, Myself & Irene, along with
Byers, plus a few extras with Bruin connections.

Yes, that is LB that you saw in those commercials. He's got friends in the
movie biz, so he occasionally gets bit parts. The movie Shallow Hal is a
Farrelly Brothers movie, as far as I know. LB is buds with those guys.
They've even played in Denis Leary's charity game together.

You're also right about LB doing the morning show for a Boston radio
station. He's the sports guy for WAAF (107.3 FM)'s morning show. He hangs
out with three other guys and goofs around all morning. It's a fun show and
LB still has a BIG local following. Just this past week, they had a crew
from NHL Cool Shots there doing a piece on LB. Keep an eye out for it. I
have no idea when it's on. The focus of the piece was LB and his career
after hockey. That same day they had Kyle McLaren in (he calls in every
week) and Bob Sweeney. Sweeney was there getting some publicity for a a fund
raiser he was doing for families of the flight crews of the planes that
crashed on Sept 11th. His sister in law was one of the flight attendants on
one of the flights.

Are you sure you're not LB's publicity agent? If not, maybe we should apply?
LOL!

Thanks for the info! I think it's great that so many former bruins
make the area home for life, I went down twice in my university days
with a bunch of friends to see some games at the Garden (which I loved
by the way, GREAT GREAT atmosphere .....of course Neely was bang'in
and scoring then) And we loved it!!! Great city, nice people. I saw
why the players love it!!!

The Garden may have been old, dingy, and uncomfortable but it had one hell
of a great atmoshpere! It's not quite the same at the Fleet.

It's amazing how many players end up staying here. My girlfriend's cousin's
youth hockey coach back in the day was Brad Park. My boss's mother does work
for the American Liver Foundation with Taz. Adam Oates comes back here in
the offseason. Gordie Kluzak stayed and made himself a new career after a
shortened hockey career. That's just a few.

The funny thing about Boston is that it's even better the further away you
are. The city drives me crazy right now. I live about 1/2 an hour away and
avoid it like the plague. When I was living in other parts of the country, I
was wishing I could go there. Go figure!
