Didn't the Cyclones begin in the ECHL, anyway? This would certainly be a
step back. But I'm afraid, it's not looking good for the IHL. At least the
IHL teams aren't just named after parent clubs (see Louisville Panthers,
Wilkes Barre Scranton Penguins, St. John Flames, St. John's Maple Leafs,
Providence Bruins).

. I think we should count ourselves blessed to have two
*minor league hockey teams even if one of them is in the ECHL or
another
*lessor league. In a market this small that is amazing.

I think the fans of the Cyclones would be surprised at the "bang for
the buck" they would get if the team would go to the ECHL. Having
been a follower of the ECHL for the past few years, the caliber of
hockey is surprisingly good and the instant rivalries between the Ohio
teams would only be a help to all the franchises. I hate to see Cincy
lose their IHL team but going to the E is not a fate worse than death
by any means!!
